  1. Why can't two parties work this stuff out through P.M.s or a telephone call. If someone is not happy with the assigned grades on a book, send them back for a refund, plain and simple. If you're grading needs some fine tuning, talk with someone who can help you fine tune it.
  2. You are about as cool as Hades' b-hole after 100 Inferno chicken wings. That's why I stated that I should leave soon, retart. The sooner the better.

  4. I could be wrong, but was that the thread where Heritage claimed they had no knowledge of an employee shill bidding?
  5. Just had time to read all of this. Does he have a brother that works at a comic shop?
  6. I missed the threat. Was he going to summon a squadron of flys out of his clothes hamper?
  7. I think the vulgar name calling can be kept to a P.M. Anyone can be an internet loud mouth. If there's two sides to the story, we need to here it.
  8. Was it a boardie? What was the threat?
  9. I agree. I don't think it matters how the deal was construced. Cash, cash and trade, or gold dubloons. It's the staining on the book that killed the deal.
  10. Lots of us would be picky on a book like this with a stain and a 16K price tag. The notes are saying this stain runs the length of the book. This is what kind of baffles me. I've had books just hammered for a tiny dot sized stain.
  11. That's the thing... I DIDNT have the book in hand. It was in transit from Florida. If I had it in hand, I would have taken and posted a pic and answered the question the best I could I think he's referring to when you had it in hand before you sent it out for grading.
  12. I think it would bother anyone on a transaction this large.
  13. Interesting point. If the deal had gone through, he had received the book, noticed the stain, ordered the grading notes to confirm that it was a stain, and then asked to return the book, then what? Seems like there is some ambiguity here particularly if the seller indicated in the thread that he didn't think there was a stain. If you submitted the book raw, which I assume you did, why did you tell him something different when he asked about the stain? I mean if you sent the book in I'm sure you looked it over with a fine tooth comb right.
  14. That sounds good to me, and if it cuts down on their newbie scam artists mass-selling on our boards, then it's a good thing. Me too. We have newbs flooding in here like roache's and selling high dollar books right out of the gate, and it's happening more and more. If this place is going to survive and be know as a great place to buy, sell, and discuss books, you have to have a sense of credibility, and earn it. We all did.
  15. I can ship bomb proof in a U - Line box for about $4.50 media, with tracking up to 6 - 8 books. The problem is,he's using bubble ( get you're books bent to h ell ) mailers, and still charging $10 for media. Fixed it, (thumbs u

  17. It's been discussed to death, but you have to get everyone on the same wave-length. I have no problem with putting in some kind of rule. Just my opinion though. On the other hand though, long time members seem to jump at the bit on some of these sales threads. That's they're business too, but it's seemed to have come up on the wrong side too many times around here. And like I've said before, lets try something. If that doesn't work, we try something else until we find the right mix for everyone. In the meantime, I'll keep my money in my pocket.
  18. Thoughts? My spidey sense is tingling. I hope I'm wrong I hope you are too.
