  1. Captain Steve Savage was an actually series that ran multiple issues. Man, someday I have to start collecting Golden-Age. I need to get out more often. DR.X Don't do it. It's just a big vat of coolness sucking you in. Just when you think you know what you want, something else pops up that you've just got to have. There's a couple of issues of Fight Comics over in allana's thread that I have been torturing myself not to buy. The covers on them are driving me nuts. DR.X

  3. Thanks guys, cool books. I always see a copy or two of the Earthman on Venus book at Chicago. I'd like to get one some day when I finish off a few other runs. I love that big ant on the cover. I was looking at these on Metro's site and they have a title called Captain Savage in the Avon books. I dont see that one on the list either. DR.X
  4. This thread is worthless without some pics. DR.X
  5. Dialing 911 right now. Great group of books Andy. DR.X
  6. +1 Those are some great looking books. I'm glad someone's finding some stuff. Its been like a morgue around here for picking up stuff. DR.X
  7. Women tied to a hot radiator always did something to me. Cool book. DR.X
  8. Does the seller still have the option to cancel a buyers bid if the feedback looks suspicious or he just doesnt have enough positive's yet? DR.X
  9. A+ transaction with Bob. Accurate grading and good packaging. DR.X
  10. Don't know Taz at all but received this PM from him yesterday. "With his last post" Really? So how does he explain that long thread of insults, pot-shots, and put-downs?? Those were all jokes?? His bad sense of humor? Where's that Bull mess Meter when you need it? Count's in charge of the B.S. meter. It's probably in the red zone as we speak. DR.X
  11. O.K. so now we have to instruct people how to set things right. He's already proved he cant. Honesty, and Respect for yourself and fellow boardmembers is what holds this board together for the most part and makes it work. You have to draw a line somewhere here and enough is enough. This guy doesnt get it. I won't buy from him and won't sell to him, my choice. He should be tossed out of here. It's one less nuisance. DR.X
  12. The 4.0 assigned appears to be an accumulation of defects rather than any one specific problem. I see a large color breaking crease, which alone keeps it 5.5 or less. There's a BC corner chip, some browning along the edges. Maybe some rust on the top staple ? A few tears, lots of color breaking spine creases. It probably gets to be a numbers game where the defects are added up and it's a 4.0 . I could see a 4.5 but no better. It's still a cool book with decent eye appeal. Bob's right as far as the accumulation of defects here. The killer's are the chip on the B.C. and that large crease on the F.C. It still looks like it should have hit 4.5 but I wonder what the inside covers look like ( tanning ) and how well the staples are attached. Still a cool book though. DR.X
  13. KILLDOZER, with Clint Walker, Robert Urich, Neville Brand, Carl Betz. I never understood why the one guy crawled inside of a tin pipe to hide, and then got crushed. Not the best place to hide I guess. DR.X
  14. Last time I sent something to the States it was 5 lines, plus one custom form. Not much of a hardship really. Only took me an hour to do, and that included 45 minutes to walk to the post office. Took me 8 months to walk back though. My post office is a few minutes away. Sometimes I actually walk over there also, and it takes hours to walk back. Of course Finnegan's Irish pub is on the way! DR.X
  15. I saw that also. I havent been on a whole lot lately. Who was this craigmcreary? Did he try and start another sales thread? Where was Roy? We need answers here. DR.X
  16. Paid fast and good communication. A+ Transaction. DR.X
  17. Super Nice (thumbs u I agree these are hard to find. I've never seen that cover. Nice! One of these days when I finish some other runs I'm working on I'll get serious about my Strange Adventures and Tales of the Unexpected runs. DR.X
  18. Andy's a good guy to deal with. Ships quick and packs well. DR.X
  19. Wow what a stunner. Everytime I see that book it reminds me of Groot's origin. They didint kill this one with termites though. The most shocking special effects of all time. DR.X
  20. Amazing Adventures #1 ( Torr ) was another book that eluded me at Wizard Chicago this year. There were a few copies on site, but they were all lower grade and not what I would have been interested in haggling over. DR.X
  21. This might be my first time in here. I dont remember. Too many beers maybe. This place is scary. Here's a few things I just dug up. Pics are krappy, dont have a scanner that fits a slab. DR.X
  22. Thats another book thats on my buy list. It seems to be a little tough in decent grade. Another one thats been tough for me to find is a decent Astonish #26 " Beware The Four Arm Things". Iv'e actually purchase a few of them years ago off of E-Bay but sent them back. Way over-graded. I love that cover. DR.X
