  1. Honestly, I was a dik, but I NEVER would have shown this kind of disrepect to someone who was so generous with me He needs to get his azz physically kicked, by his parents or his peers. I realize that isn't a PC thing to say, nor is it enlightened or evolved, but it works. Some of the best lessons I learned, I learned from getting my azz handed to me. I also was a total jerk, but. I kind of knew when to shut up and try and learn something. You dont throw people who are will to help and teach you something under the bus. And this isnt the first time by no means. Its just another situation with him that we're talking about. To have an opportunity to learn this hobby from one of the best, and pull this is totally unacceptable. As C.O.I. states, he needs his azz whipped. I personally favor a hard open hand beetch-slap to get their attention. Its just to bad that someone that had so many people to learn from, has only learned how to be a insufficiently_thoughtful_person. DRX
  2. Ive been watching this punk post on here for months. He has no character, sense of responsibilty, or remorse. Ive seen him get arrongant and say totally dumb mess to some very respectable board members. He constantly sticks his nose in threads where no one wants him. Four times on the probation list! Come on, theres no excuses. This little twerp just doesnt get it. He offers nothing of any value to these boards. DRX
  3. Find an attic to hide in, pack up and go to Poland, but for heaven's sake, leave while you can! I think you should contact the F.B.I. and be placed in the witness protection program! (thumbs u DRX
  4. I need a nice # 1, but its kind of pricey. I had a habit of writing on the backing board where I bought the book and the price. I bought the A.A. # 2 at the Chicago Con on 7/2/88. Paid a whopping $ 25.00. Those were the days. Stacks of them on the dealers tables back then. DRX
  5. I pulled a few more out of the vault today. A pair of 5's . I love that cover on the Astonish # 5 with the moon in the background and the stone men walking around!
  6. Very cool, first time seeing this one! Thanks, this was another book that I bought at a local con for about $15.00, at least twenty-five years ago. I think the colors on this book are really nice, especially the blue despite the corner creases. Glad you like it. DRX Oh we like it alright...sell it to me and then it will be my book... My books are the like the old commercials for the Roach Motel. "Once they check in, they dont check out". DRX

  13. Great looking books, and so tough to find the lower numbers in decent grade. I love those old Strange Adventures, and Tales of the Unexpected also. DRX

  17. Pajama boy sent me a slab in an envelope. You can guess the outcome He ignored countless PM's and never offered restitution. Unbelievable, with all the info on these boards and threads on packing books. And when does just plain commnon sense take over. What a knuckle-head. Sorry about your book. Theres no excuse for krap like this. DRX
  18. I could see where that would be a reason for banning. DRX
  19. Not to change gears here but how did Vander-Pajama boy get on the list again? Must have missed it. DRX
  20. Those 3 to 5 page stories are so complete + satisfying. And when Jack + Stan later branch out into those longer stories, they take on an epic quality. A joy to behold!! Thats all it took to make those a great read. Every panel had a distinct part of the story, wether it was the art the character lines. It was just enough to keep you totally focused for a few pages. And all those monster hands and arms Kirby drew, always looked like were reaching out of the pages.Ahhhhh the good old days, when a comic was worth plopping down a dime or twelve cents of lawn cutting dough. DRX
  21. I think if you did part with books like those, you'd probably regret it. I know for sure that I would. Books like that in those grades just dont pop up to often. I think this is one my favorite threads. Its making me want to go read my Masterworks Astonish, and Suspense. I just never get enough of those short pre-hero stories. DRX
  22. :o :o :o Ahem, please keep me in mind Hes already got enough high grade stuff. Save some for the bottom feeders. DRX
  23. My wife is dialing 911 for oxygen. DRX
