  1. I didn't want to speculate on what the rest of that outfit looked like...but the thought crossed my mind. What are the odds they were "footie pajamas"? C I was just thinking the same thing. Could it get an worse? Does it have the zipper up the back? DRX
  2. Oh my, your right. I never noticed that. I was going to go out later and have a few beers but after seeing that Im starting RIGHT NOW!!! Ive asked this question before. Why would you let a picture like that out into the public? DRX
  3. Why did you have to post that picture of him in his pajamas again? Its starting to scare me. Me, Id card him buying a six pack of Pepsi. DRX
  4. Me 3 - I publicly asked him for a refund yesterday, and his reply was unbelievably snide. I hope Paypal kills his account. Kudos for keeping your calm over that Michael. I wouldn't have done. Very odd situation over books that were priced so cheap, I wondered if it was too good to be true. Maybe someone assumed micro-transactions below $25 wouldn't lead to complaints. It shouldnt really matter what the price of the books are or the total of the transaction. People bid on stuff because they want it, period. Just because its a small amount doesnt make it less important to a customer. Theres a proffessional way to do business on both ends, and updating someone with a e-mail only takes a minute, no matter what else is happening. Ive watched this thread from the get-go, and this guy is just a punk the way he talked to everyone. I also am surprised MSCHMIDT kept his cool, but he handled it better that i would have. He also totally ignored alot of good advice and kept his mouth going with smart azz comments. He needs the boot though. DRX
  5. Kudos to AREXCROOKE for a nice stack of properly graded X-Men books. Fast shipping and proper packaging. DRX
  6. I had to go into the VAULT. ENJOY!!
  7. This is one of my favorite covers. Hope this helps whatever your looking for. DRX DRX
  8. Ill have it up in about ten minutes. DRX
  9. O.K. Ive got this issue and am looking at page 11 right now. What are we looking for here.? If you want me to scan it, it will take a while to upload it to photo bucket. DRX
  10. Let me look in the vault to see if I have that one! DRX
  11. I notice that alot of the pre-hero monsters in these books never looked like what they appear on the cover. This issue has the monster almost looking like he has a green suit on. But inside, he's the typical Kirby,Ayers brownish orange. DRX
  12. Nice pickup! For whatever reason my brain is just now registering that Kirby did a pretty good drawing of that car. The car + the buildings are especially detailed, but the faces of the people are not. They look like they were inked over a rough sketch + not "finished". Any idea who did the inking? I just looked at my copy of this book. First page has Kirby and Ayers. DRX
  13. Thanks to the SHARK 2557 for two nice X-MEN slabs. Quick shipping and well packaged. DRX
  14. I only ship in priority boxes for safety reasons. I usually lose on every sale I do (on shipping), but i would rather the books be safe. Too many books get jacked up in envelopes. Gospel. I never use envelopes either, no way. I also think the Priority boxes are a bit too flimsy. I use the U-Line box mailers which are thicker (57 cents ea ), and affix a Priority sticker on that, if the buyer wants Priority, their choice. Otherwise it goes media. Never had a book damaged yet using them, envelopes was another horror story. Just my DRX
  15. Just got on here and noticed Creepbox was banned. Did I miss something last night? DRX
  16. What time you think youll be starting. Any F.F.'s, Daredevils? DRX
  17. It was almost as good as last nights thread with Viper when he put out the W-2 challenge and Count posted the Sesame Street W-2. It made my whole night. DRX
  18. Me thinks he may have trouble selling books here. I just posted my and it got deleted. What a waste of reading material. I feel so neglected. DRX
  19. Twice the fun!! Twice the fun!! Really nice books. Those were a great run of books, and the fun stories to boot. DRX
  20. Kudos to THE COUNT for a stack of X-Men books. Well packaged and good communication. (thumbs u DRX
  21. Kudos to Joeypost for three really nice X-MEN slabs. Great packaging and communication. Thanks!
  22. Just FYI for folks: Thank you. (thumbs u Andy I still cant believe this guy admits to overgrading. His customers expect " good e-bay grading". WTF. Nothing like insulting your customers! So his customers expect overgraded . That makes sense to me. DRX
  23. Who was the seller? And I agree. Alot of guys there cant grade. I grade accurate and I think it actually hurts my auctions. Sellers and buyers alike cant grade. The sellers id is honestgradecomics. I dont think theres going to be a problem returning the book, but so far he hasnt given me a shipping address. There were alot of impact creases and dimpling on the front and back cover that werent noticable in the scans. His grade was F\VF. I have to agree with the boardies. About 5.0. He stands by his grade. O.K. I just dont agree, so its going back. I think I'll stick to these boards. Ive had good luck here so far. Next time I pick up a collection for sale, Ill try running it through here first. Heres the post for the book in question. Sorry for the huge scans. My scanner is crapl DRX http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=50&Number=3042329&Searchpage=1&Main=154771&Words=&topic=0&Search=true#Post3042329
  24. I just bought a Astonish # 37 off E-bay. First E-bay purchase in a while. Guy has 100% feedback and claims he undergrades. I posted it in the grading forum and some of you chimed in to help me decide. Its going back. A good pressing wouldnt bring it up to grade. Yes,alot of people one E-Bay cant grade, but for this guy to come on here and admit to overgrading is the dumbest thing Ive heard in a long time.I dont think anyone here is going to buy deliberatley overgraded books. Is he nuts. Its an insult to sellers who actually can grade in the ballpark. DRX
