Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???

Whoever graded that book, or let it out the door, should be escorted out of the building, locked out, and never be seen near a comic book again. -
No, those are not for sale right now. They are tucked away with about 20 other nice Silver Age books that I "was" going to send to CGC. No way with all the krap going on there right now.

Here's an update on this thread. I'm just about finished processing the next round, that will feature #61 - #100. I will probably split the thread into two evenings. There will be roughly 18 new slabs (9.0-9.4), and three left overs slabs from the last round, and maybe a discount on those. Launch date within the next few weeks I hope.

Sounds Massive. -
I'm in the 6.5 ball park also. These spots are there, but actually tough to see unless you really look. Regardless , they are there.

No excuse for k rap like that. At least a few pieces of card board.

Going over this book this morning, I noticed on the inside front cover, top border, two small water spots/stains. They look worse in the pic, and are actually hard to see in hand. Book has great gloss and the feel of a new book. Light non breaking bends on the back cover.

This copy has the feel of a new book. Has a full length spine bend about 3/8" in from the edge, from most likely sitting in a stack. No color breaking at all. A few light lines on the front cover. A press would get rid of both of these.

Was there a 1 year turnaround wait on that collection being certified ? Asking for a friend.

Public hanging, firing squad, or tree shredder??

well, I've been collecting for over 50 years, and it's time to thin things down anyway. I can't take it to the grave. I want to get my collection down to a point where I'm not lugging dozens of boxes around. I still have books I want to own and read, and will pursue those when I have some time. and like I have said before, I have some really nice raw key books that I would love to get slabbed, but no way with this garbage going on the last few years. they look pretty good in a Mylite, packed away from human eyes. LOL

This....................what a sad state for our hobby. I'm starting to actually feel good about liquidating my F.F.'s and other parts of my collection.

This is a classic example of buying a book, without doing a complete page count, many years ago. Going through these books again and found this. At first glance this book looks like an easy 9.0, but out of the Mylite tells a different story. Back cover has an area between the spine and word text, about 4" long that looks like some type of scuff or something. See pic. The last eight pages have a tear on the top edge, starting in the middle of the book about 1.25", going down to about .5" on the last page.
