New Funnies #176 - 4.0 SOLD TO MURPHMAN BP = $6.00 $5.00 Description - Has surface indentation writing over the f.c. Lower staple is tearing but still hanging on. Centerfold well attached and nice pages.

Looney Tunes #160 - 4.5 SOLD TO MURPHMAN BP = $5.00 $4.00 Description - Some crease lines and indentations on the covers. A bit of rust on the bottom staple. Centerfold is well attatched with nice pages.

Forbidden Worlds #85 - 4.5 SOLD TO SKOW BP = $10.00 Description - Nice interior and well attached. Small stain lower edge B.C. Spotting on b.c.

Forbidden Worlds #141 - 6.0 SOLD TO ERNSTER BP = $14.00 Description - Nice clean copy with surface indentations and some wear. Still has good color and well attached centerfold.

Forbidden Worlds #77 - 4.5 SOLD TO SKOW BP = $10.00 Description - Pretty clean copy with accumulation of defects for this grade. 1.5" X .25" stain lower edge front cover. Centerfold well attached and still presents well.

Adventures Into The Unknown #171 - 5.0? SOLD TO SKOW BP = $7.00 Description - Another clean book with nice pages and well attached, but has a center fold. No color break though on the front. Looks like a paper pull on the top center back cover in the middle. Still a sharp copy.

Adventures Into The Unknown #142 - 6.5 SOLD TO SKOW BP = $12.00 Description - This is a great looking book, but I knocked the grade on it. The back cover upper spine area seems to have some kind of gloss missing or something. Does not look like a stain as there is no discoloration on the interior or on the paper. Still a flat, well attached book with nice paper and gloss.

Hopefully putting up more Golden Age Oddball stuff Tues eve, around 7 Central. A few more books than last time. Forbidden Worlds, Adventures Into the Unknown, Pogo's, Looney Tunes, & more.

I never buy anything off e bay anymore, but I've noticed tons of sellers with the " check the pics for grades " in the listing.

Okay I have some spare time to copy and rotate these pics, but you need full shots of the front and back cover, and list any internal defects. Torn pages, loose or detached centerfold, writing, clipped coupons, nuclear acid emission stains. Okay, here's what I see, and remember, my opinion is worthless. Looks like someone dropped this book on the top and bottom spine. Looks like the paper is mushroomed a bit. Same thing on the bottom. Looks like is was dropped or squeezed in a vice. If it was bumped that may have caused the spine to buckle and cause the two stress lines next to the yellow add box. Top corner you have a bend/fold going on. Edge looks funny about 1" from the edge inward? Bottom corner I assume has a problem also. Bent paper or something. And like someone else said the top and bottom edges look suspicious. Look at the top right above the 15 cents logo box going towards the yellow. Does not look straight to me. Again, above the word THE looks odd. Just my 2 cents. You can carefully slide a backing board or a clean straight edge between the cover and first page, and leave about a half inch sticking up. Compare it to the book edge. Sometimes it sticks out like a sore thumb, but just my own personal way to check things.

I'm dizzy looking and pieces of this puzzle.

thanks for all the input people. I'm at 6.0 on this too. Without the stain its a 7.0 so I think a full point knock down with the stain and rippling is in order.

Just took another look under a light. No rust. Mods notified.

Nice copy but has a stain/coffee drop on the front cover about one inch to the right of the spine, next to the letter G in the vertical Target logo and a bit of paper warping. Super nice inside pages, and nice interior cover. I'm thinking a full point for the stain.

Sounds like it from the little bit I read, and I'm just to lazy to read it all. Sounds like he's about 10 years old.

that stuff is always going on, even on Facebook marketplace. people want 50% discounts, I get paid in two weeks can you hold it, I just got divorced and don't have any money, I think your a dummy and will sell it to me for nothing. Heard it all. I go back and forth with people all the time, and like you say, crickets chirping constantly.

This is a real nice looking book but of course it has a problem. When I see little stuff like this that just takes the grade of a high grade copy into a death spiral, I feel like getting ugly. LOL. Book is flat, tight, nice clean pages. The problem is on the front cover outside edge. There are two tiny less than 1/8" tears about 3/4" apart and the paper has been creased. Like a thumb crease with the two tiny tears. You can see it in the pic.

This book is like new. Only thing I can see is a light bend on the top outside corner that starts about 2.5" down the outside edge, and runs to the top edge about 1.5" in back cover. No color break just some stress. Hard to see in the scan but it is there. Book feels new in hand. Tight centerfold and clean supple pages.

Some rounding on the bottom outside corner. A bit on the top outside corner. Book has the look and feel of a new copy. Pages are tight and supple, with well attached centerfold. Just great color. Sorry got in a hurry cropping the last two photos but the edges are straight and clean.

Inside covers are tanning. Chipping along the top cover edges. Centerfold is detached at the bottom staple but pages are very supple.
