Sweet! I'm sending in my two walmart covers, and the Alex Ross varients for SA 3 and 4. Debating sending in my blue label 9.8 SA 1 1st print.
I was going to do 1st print SA1 but i uuuh misplaced mine apparently. I can find some of my variants and 2/3 printings. But I cant find my first O_O; I decided to send in Deadpool team up 883 just cause I love that cover and ask for some stan lee remarque on it. Figured this wont ever leave my collection. Might still send in a few others(like the SA stuff) for normal sigs.

Would a press and clean help with grade?
I cant really see much in the way of creases and stuff but the cleaning may help. Again I apologize but I have a hard time seeing anything in these photos. I do think the minor spine roll could be pressed out and possibly help the grade as well. Either way I think its a book worth grading personally.

It may sound horrible, but I'm all for an alternative to the never ending modern age.
It seems to have started in the 80s and never stopped.
I do agree with that. We need something to break the modern trend. I just...dont think wizard clicks/works or whatever lol. But if that was back in...99? Its been over 20 years since that was brought up. I know ive heard others bring ideas up but... How does something stick? Never thought about that really.

It looks pretty clean overall from these photos. Id like more close ups to try and see more creases or nics. But with this Id agree with the above being in the 7 range. A C&P could help but my blind eyes dont see much in these photos besides like the spine roll.
-
Id say it could be about a 4.5 the stain and the corner area stand out the most but you can see some more creases on it. I do wonder how much a C+P can help out still too. I dont see it being a 7.0 at all tho. But it still looks good IMO and would love to have it in my collection lol.

Hopefully that is the answer. They went to the wrong service. Hopefully you get that refunded and the comics returned. Would love to have updates as you find out.

At the initial dealer meetings in 1999 CGC was laughed out the door when they said they were going to call Modern age books "The Wizard Age"
Oh man.... Im very thankful that never caught on... Wizard age sounds horrible to me....
Also I fully admit I had no clue 9.5 was ever a thing. So thanks, today I learned!

Yeah, as posted above it will have an additional charge for cracking.
Also keep in mind it could change the grade of the previous slab. But it will keep prior signatures and the same serial/registry number.

Honestly I had no idea they had others besides 9.8s. This is pretty cool

My guess is they are saying it was stolen. Or something along those lines.... Hopefully if this was the case the person was caught and dealt with. But this is also just wood on the fire ala rumors/theories too. Hopefully everything works out.

Man, seeing stuff like this makes me extremely nervous. Hope they get everything settled for you but what a scary and long journey its already been.
Regarding CGC vs CBCS

Im just not a big fan of the look/label of CBCS. That being said the wait time and price increase of CGC is making me wonder... I do also plan to just send some of my signed stuff into CBCS cause of their signature line. 99.9% of my collection is CGC cause of the look and name tho.
