Just grabbed this nice DD 163 newsstand. One of my favorite covers as well. Remember reading this one as a kid. DD had quite a pair to go up against the Hulk. Even the hulk gave him credit.

Here's my 1st attempt/template. Slabs haven't arrived yet.

I'm not a volume collector. Just getting back into collecting for some key/nostalgia grabs. I already picked up some cgc slabbed books and got a few raw books on the way. I display the cgc slabs on my wall and don't think getting the raw books professionally slabbed is necessary right now. I am trying out some DIY slabs that are similar but still can be opened but display like the cgc books. Anyone have thoughts/experiences with self slabbing alternatives? On a side note, I am making my own custom labels in a similar style for my DIY slabs which has been kinda fun to do in the meantime.

.....and this one arrived today. 2 for 2 Newton rings a little annoying (not shown) but didn't get it for resale. Just wanted a representative Stan SS for the DD collection and was a good price.

So far what I have. Bowen & Hard Heroes DD Sideshow premier Vampirella * Sideshow Vampirella 50th Anniversary and the Iron Studios 1:4 DD on preorder.

Thank you. Grader notes say the following which mostly are back cover issues but visually are not bad and are all small. Think it could have been a 3.0 moderate creasing to cover multiple tear back cover small stain bottom of back cover very small piece out bottom of back cover

Sorry, picture not the greatest but what I have so far. Focused on the keys for nostalgia so far. Also, have a CGC graded 8.5 DD issue #41 signed by Stan Lee (had to get a DD signed by Lee) and a raw DD #2 still on the way that I will likely slab to keep them all similarly displayed. Yes, I am a huge Godzilla figure collecting fan but that is another story and the majority of my collection room.

My club submission. Think it shows nice for a 2.5 imo. Grader notes have no major issues that concern me. I'm happy with it.
