  1. Hey there! I'm pretty new to collecting, I only started buying comic books regularly a few years back but I've really gotten into collecting during this whole pandemic. I joined so I can learn more about collecting from all of you knowledgeable folks.
  2. Hey there! I'm new here. I've been trying to research this for quite a bit now and while I've found a bunch of similar topics, I've not found a clear answer. I have a fairly small (comparatively) sized collection but a lot of my bags are not bagged - so recently I've been looking into the best combination of bags and boards. I bought a small combo-pack of Egerber Mylite2 and fullbacks for the comics I really like (or the ones worth a bit) and these have been pretty good. That being said, I do have some issues with these. They are a little too tight for some of the bigger books in my collection - while putting in one of my issues of "Batman: Last Knight on Earth" it was so tight that the process of putting the comic in peeled a tiny bit of coating off the cover on the bottom covers. Also, they're just a bit too pricey for me considering most of my comics are worth close to nothing, so I was looking at buying some "high quality" poly bags to store my lower value books. I already bought a pack of Egerber half-backs to use for the backing boards since I heard the cheaper boards are not great and I'm looking for decent bags to go with them. I've considered BCW, UltraPro, Bill Cole Bagz (their poly bags, not mylar), and some smaller brands like the ones sold by Hotflips but I'm having a hard time choosing between all of those. I also want something that has a good fit but will be able to store larger comics like annuals, the DC #1000 issues, etc. What would you guys recommend? I realize mylar is for sure the best choice but it is a little out of my price-range right now to store my full collection so I would prefer poly bag recommendations if possible. Thanks for the help!
