It's a good thing turtles have hard shells. But, I think the Foot Clan has infiltrated CGC quality control.
This was the only book I submitted, and it took a year to process.Bogus. Not radical.

Is it normal for the inner well to move slightly?
It doesn't seem to be loose enough to cause damage to the book. But... just curious if it's normal for their to be a slight shift. -
Is CGC still waiting on slabs to process magazines? Last I heard, mag submissions were held up by lack of cases.

Very frustrated but at least I know where the problem is.
I mailed a box of 3 books on March 12th through Priority Mail. All were FAST TRACK / MODERN / PRESSED.
They were delivered on March 15th but not 'received' by CGC until April 10th (26 full days later).
When I called CGC a few weeks back, all I could gather was that the books are apparently at CCS but I haven't been billed yet by them so I have no idea where they are or what's actually going on.
Is CCS a separate physical location?
Anyways, I was kind of curious and decided to send in 1 book in a Gemini mailer through Priority Mail last week. I shipped it on June 22nd and it was delivered on June 25th. This was an EXPRESS order and I marked 'EX' on the mailer.
Three days later it's now SFG.
So at least I now know where the problem is... sadly.
If the lower tier options are so abominable, they shouldn't even be offered. It's like going to a restaurant and being asked if you'd like to pay more so that they don't step in your food.

I've been maintaining a very serious correspondence with customer service.
QuoteThese books arrived on 2/4/21. It's now 6/22. The turn-around time keeps getting longer than it was when the books were submitted.
At this rate, my order will be completed long after my death and my grandchildren will have to sign for the package. Fedex probably won't be able to deliver it because the oceans will have risen 16 feet due to climate change.
I've decided to pay you in bottlecaps, as this will be the accepted currency in 2091, when these comics are finally pressed and graded.
Thank you for your understanding.
I think I'm going to turn it into a saga. In my next update, I'll inform them that I have died and will haunt the warehouse until my order is completed. I feel my connection to this mortal plane growing thin... (ghost emoji)- Hibou, october, GreatCaesarsGhost and 6 others

I think CGC is just hoping I'll forget I ever sent them comics four months ago.
I'm close to demanding a return or claiming theft. -
Hypothetical question...
If you submit your books to a company for a service, which they do at their leisure with a loose TAT... and then they issue a statement saying that they refuse to cancel orders and return people's possessions until said service is rendered (again, whenever they get around to it)... how long until it could legally be construed as theft? -

Modern Slow Track
2 Books (and my first experience with CGC)
Delivered 2/4
"Received" 2/25
Status has not changed as of 3/26
If I ever submit comics to CGC again, it'll be after they've resolved their bottleneck issues. When I submitted my comics, the TAT was 3 weeks. There was no mention of that TAT beginning whenever they got around to it.Status is still "Received" as of 4/7. I'm never submitting to CGC again.

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???

These are minor issues, but it took 9 months to get this slabbed. When it finally arrived back in May, the case was shattered. I returned it, and it's been gone 3 months (so, 12 months total).
Now there are two minor scuffs on the back (inside the shell) and a small bit of debris possibly touching the comic. So, after a full year with CGC, would you bother sending it back?
Regardless, this will be the last book I get graded. It just isn't worth the hassle.
