  1. I recently won an auction for an Incredible Hulk 161 CGC 9.2 for $58. I was surprised that I won and thought the $58 was a great deal. The seller created a shipping label and uploaded it to Ebay. 3 days later, they sent me a message saying they screwed up and sold the book 2 months ago so they were going to cancel the transaction and refund me. It smells fishy to me, like they have sellers remorse and didn't get the price they wanted in the auction so they are just cancelling the order. Is there anything that can be done? Report them? The record says that the transaction was cancelled at my request (which it was not). I have only made 35 or so purchases on eBay and this is the first time I have encountered anything like this. I would appreciate any input.
  2. I haven`t been picking up any of the comics but I have enjoyed binging the 2 TBP when they released. Great stuff.
  3. I purchased a 9.8 three months ago for $90 CAD because my kids and I read the books and I thought it would be a cool piece to have in the collection for them to look back on. I saw the large number of 9.8 on the CGC registry and didn't think the book would climb much as a result. I had no clue about the TV show. I am blown away how the market moves now with the mere mention of further developing a book into another property. I casually observe this thread in the background and it honestly feels like the comic version of Wolf of Wall Street at times.
  4. I think Jim Lee is doing a cover for issue 3 which could be interesting. Jim Lee's Batman is great and he could do some cool stuff with Fortnite characters.
  5. I ordered this comic because I like reading and collecting Batman stuff. My son loves Fortnite so I figured it would be a cool thing to add to the collection and pass off to him. I had no clue there were skins included or that people were selling them for $25-$40.
  6. I am on my way to becoming some sort of version of Cyborg/Vision/Ultron. I'm a type 1 Diabetic and I use an insulin pump and sensor to monitor things. Essentially I have a small machine on each of my arms constantly giving me insulin and monitoring blood sugar levels. A lot of the Type 1 Diabetic community are now hacking their own devices to improve functionality and customization. I only see further integration of these machines into my biology in the future.
  7. I am a long time comic fan that recently joined the forums so I thought I would hello. I'm a mid 40's BatDad to two awesome kids who I am building a collection for. My collection consists of the following: 1. The Bedrock - The foundation of my collection from when my brother and I were kids (1985-91). No home runs in this part of the collection but some interesting pieces. 2. The Odd and Ends - Cool pieces I have picked up along the way 3. Current Comics - Titles and Story Arcs that I was interested in reading within the last 5 years. 4. The CGC Comics - Now this is where things got interesting. I purchased my first CGC comic at the start of 2021 and have a total of 24 in my collection and counting. 5. The Collected Books - Book shelf material to get my reading on.
  8. I recently started my CGC collection and this was one I added. I had to trade all my credits on ebay with a no good space pirate. It was worth it.
