  1. What would be the highest grade possible with slight spine roll (not from misuse, just storage). I've stored my comic vertically in long boxes and I'm disappointed to see how many have this condition. I guess I shouldn't be too upset, this last week is the first time I've laid eyes on them in about 30 years!
  2. Oh mess, my bad. Any thoughts with the photos available?
  3. Hello, I’m selling some comics on EBay and I want to be sure I’m not being too generous with my grading. To me, it looks fantastic, but what do the resident experts think? I have an awful lot of comics in similar shape. They were bought many years ago, never read, bagged and stored until about a week ago.
  4. I recently received some comics back from grading and was a bit disappointed with a couple of the grades. Looking at similar grades on EBay, mine appear much nicer. Does CGC seem to be consistent no matter what year the comic or are they more forgiving on older comics?? Thanks!!
  5. Hi all, I’m a relative newbie, and I just mailed in a group of comics for grading. I didn’t include pressing and now I’m thinking it would be a good idea. Can it now be added? Anyone done this?
  6. Hello, I didn’t see a “Introduce Yourself” section, so I figured I’d post it here. From when I was a kid until I was about 17, I collected comics. Even when I was young, I always read them carefully, and then stowed them. I also had 4 sisters and I always used to ask their bfs if they had any comics or baseball cards they wanted to give me. To impress my sister, a lot of them did! Haha. I managed to acquire about 2,000 comics from the 40’s - 90s. I recently looked at some of the prices, and I’m relatively shocked! I have a lot of key issues like Avengers #57 and Iron Man #1 along with some good ones from the 80s like Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles1-10 (#1 is 3rd printing. I clearly remember #1 was quite difficult to find!) I had always saved them with the idea of handing them down to my kids, but they never got into comics. Now, as I am 54, I think it’s time to get rid of them, except for 3 comics I promised I’d never sell. (Fantastic Four #4 and some old Strange Tales before superheroes) I know to get a decent price for them, they need to be professionally graded so that’s what has brought me to this site. If anyone has any advice on selling them, I’m all ears. (However I’m not interested in just unloading them, getting pennies on the dollar of value) Anyways, hope you are all off to a good weekend!
  7. Hello, I am brand new around here. I have a decent size collection, 2,000, ranging from 1948-to the 1990s. Most are in very nice shape (all are ungraded), but I have 2 I thinking of being restored. I have Fantastic Four #4 and Incredible Hulk #3. Both of them have a good sized piece missing from the front cover. (At least 1”) I know restored books will never have the value of original books, but overall, is it a good investment for old books?? Thanks in advance!
