  15. Good morning, everybody. ...some pages coming up. Heck Avengers, Sal Buscema Avengers, Colan Daredevil, a Ditko Speedball, maybe some Kirby and maybe a Dave Cockrum Uncanny X-Men. stay tuned!
  16. Great idea for a topic! Giant-Man /Ant-Man/ Goliath (& the Wasp) were two of my favorite Marvel characters when I was a kid. (Behind Spidey, the FF, and Thor) ...not a comic, but a pin-up that I chased for awhile. From TTA #63, the first Giant-Man/ Hulk I bought off he stands (actually, I'm pretty sure my older brother bought it for me one sunny afternoon after a day at the Cocoa Beach Pier. This image was etched into my 8-year-old mind.)
  17. Here's more for your perusal. @wurstisart https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/444314-fake/ https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/95264-is-fake-oa-very-rare-or-very-common/ https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/392721-romita-fake/ https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/440160-fake-fake-fake/ https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/297138-this-stuff-is-surely-fake/ you can google "fake original art CGC boards" (or some other similar word groups) and you will be directed to plenty of reading.
  18. It must be a valuation that includes multiple pieces that add up to 3K, or lower end pieces tacked on to a higher-end piece, because lots of art sells for way less than 3K in signature auctions.
  19. FF: Kirby Spidey: Ditko, Romita Thor: Kirby Avengers: Buscema Capt. America: Kirby Iron Man: Kirby, Colan Ant/Giant-Man: Kirby, Heck Hulk: Trimpe, M. Severin DD: Wood, Colan X-Men: N. Adams, Steranko Subby: Everett, Buscema Nick Fury: Steranko Doc Strange: Ditko, Brunner all this if groups count. ...nah, I'm not stuck in the 60's.
  20. I like this cover. Kirby used the Masters of Evil's hands to convey that Thor was under their spell in order to turn him against the other Avengers. Very symbolic of the (great) story inside. That's just what a comic book cover was supposed to do back in the '60s.
  21. My folks bought me this. Probably still have it in a beat-up readers box.
  22. When I was 12 there weren't any comic book stores ...actually, there were a few - but none anywhere near me.
  23. It's kinda amazing that superheroes have lasted in popularity as long as they have, compared to other genres.
