  1. I recently noticed that we've got a show coming up, so that'll be a possible opportunity to add a copy or two, depending on what's available.
  2. I seldom ever SAW any when I started collecting again, as an adult. A few here and there but I don't recall ever seeing any of the classic ones for sale, even at high prices or whatever. I knew some people who collected them. John Hauser would mention them when I saw him at shows, but he must've kept most of whatever he got because I don't recall him having any for sale. It's also possible that I just didn't notice them as I was hunting for other things. I notice them now though and the prices often decide FOR me!
  3. ABSOLUTELY it does!!! Pre-Code Horror is an area I need to be extremely careful with!!! I can't really afford to go down that rabbit hole!
  4. I've never seen this cover before!!! Most of the Fawcett copies I've had have been early ones. GREAT cover!!!
  5. SUCH a beautiful cover!!! I've always loved the way he's drawn here!!! Congratulations!!!
  6. Thanks Billy Boy! We sure do get an awful lot of great stuff in that block! Kirby, Everett, Orlando, Wood ... lots of yella ... lots of red ... and SUBBY!!!
  7. Somewhat subdued red dress gal to substantially subdued red dress gal.
  8. Mystery Tales #41 La Prensa Pub. (Not sure if I still have this one).
  9. So many great copies of Strange Tales #40 have been posted .... I might need to make a special place for one!!!
  10. I really dig that store stamp!!! Such a cool pedigree identifier!!! I'd love to have an entire Atlas run with that stamp!!! I know a portion of the collection doesn't have the stamp, but I'm not quite familiar enough with it to know if it's in a concentrated area of the collection or at a certain point the stamp just stops. Great book by the way!!!
  11. Thanks!! The beauty of Silver Age is that it's plentiful enough that you can just wait for the right copy (grade and price) and eventually you'll find what you're looking for! Golden Age is completely different! It's much more of a "Love the one you're with" situation! You may wait YEARS before even HAVING another shot at a copy if you pass one by too casually. I've shifted most of my focus to Silver Age and I'm having a LOT of fun!!!
