  1. Incredible copy Billy Boy, just beautiful to see!!!
  2. OUTSTANDING copy Ricky!!! One of my very favorite Fox hero covers!!!
  3. The choice is yours and yours alone. You've got a LOT of fantastic comics and how you choose to contain them comes with the price of purchase. I AM curious though (of course, you're under no obligation to satisfy my curiosity) as to why you prefer the first gen holders. Do you think that re-holdering puts some instant stigma to the comic inside as to indicate that it's been manipulated in some way? I can understand that thinking, as many times comics ARE pressed or surface cleaned, which aren't considered restoration by certification companies. However, I know plenty of people who simply re-submitted the books for re-grading, without any procedure being performed. Anyway, just curious as to why you prefer the old holders as I personally see no advantage in quality, clarity and in MOST instances the labels don't carry anywhere NEAR the same level of creator information.
  4. A well spent $100 all day long!!! Yeah, the brown covers are tough in grade! I don't have ANY copy of TOS #11 at present! All that said, I've not been seeking them in really high grade, at least not really beyond around the 8.0 mark or thereabouts ... they're just too expensive!!! As you may or may not have deduced, JIM is my favorite run, with ST after that, although the #2 run changes from time to time. JIM in the 50s numbering REALLY grabbed me and has held that top spot for me ever since!!! My favorite of all is below!!!
  5. I have almost nothing left from the early portion of my Cap run. My earliest few are below.
  6. Nice looking 2.5!!! It's very likely that you'll get it back with better page quality as well, as they were very tough on pages in those first gen holders!
  7. Yours looks VERY nice! My 5.5 has a lot of spine creases but it's about the best I could find without spending huge on one.
  8. My paltry copy which is a nice enough looking place holder for now.
  9. Wow, congratulations!!! Spidey 3 is one of THE very best!!!
  10. Something to keep in mind Cat, is that the new holders have SO much more clarity in viewing your books! Many older holders I've seen are dull and scratched up and really do a book a disservice. Also, in a group shot or a picture from a distance, it's MUCH easier to see the numerical grade compared to the first-generation holders. Just my .
  11. You have a fantastic run of early Caps Ameri!!!! Speaking as someone who sold most of his early Caps, it'd be very costly to reproduce what you've just posted here without being a wealthy person!!! Well done!!!
  12. April 1960 Tales of the Unexpected to April 1960 Strange Tales.
  13. Wow, congratulations Ricky @MrBedrock!!! Those are some fantastic results!!!
