This issue is loaded with fantastic Everett art! Lots of Namora in these stories! A full page ad for next issue was a pleasant surprise, although I wish it'd have been Everett who drew it. Sub-Mariner #34

This issue has an example of how not every artist draws a character in a way you enjoy. Much the same way Kirby seldom drew Spider-Man to my liking (AF 15 cover is the only time that comes to mind that I actually like), Bob Powell's rendition of Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner isn't pleasing to my eye. It's almost as though he'd never seen the character and was working from notes. Judge for yourself. My phone didn't even want to get a decent pic of the story page! This Subby #1 was recently purchased at a semi-local shop about 45 minutes away.

Ok, new to my collection and yet so NOT new to my collection! This batch of 4 DD issues, recently reacquired by me, were mine over 25 years ago! Purchased back from the friend I sold them to sometime in the mid 90s, it was a real trip seeing and now owning these comics again! While they're never gonna win any beauty contests, I think they're just perfect raw reader copies for me!
