Thanks! There's a LOT of great stuff in that book, all for the price of a happy meal (maybe the happy meal is more now, I dunno)!!! -

I hope covers and back covers count here too, because I have some and think they have merit as well. More Fun #21 inside back cover with an awesome house ad! -

Fantastic Four Collecting Thread!

This shows how much I love funny books! At a local shop recently, I'm going thru the recent acquisitions boxes and see this. I already have a raw copy in my collection, but it's hard to turn this down for the money! It's just missing the first page, otherwise a decent lower grade copy. I thumb thru it, lay down six bucks, he rings it up and hands me back some coins! Yeah, he gave me a discount! You never know what oddity you may find at your local shop! -
This is a book that was a forgotten book. I saw it at a local shop, thumbed thru it to discover a missing centerfold. Expressing that I'd still be interested, though not at that price (tape on spine, low grade copy), they had to set it aside (they DID sticker it as cfo) and have the boss decide the new price. Well, it sat in the back awaiting a price ... for perhaps 6 months until I inquired again on a visit. It was found and quickly repriced. A crisp $50 bill on the counter and out the door I went. Now, I DO prefer my books to be complete AND I have multiple copies of this issue already, but this story speaks to how much I love this book and when I see an inexpensive one in person, I have a hard time saying no. I still think it's a key book and I guess I always will.
