  1. Evil green things from a trunk to evil green alien creatures.
  2. Wow, now THAT is something you don't see every day!!! Well, I suppose you do, but most of the rest of us don't! Congratulations!!!
  3. This issue of Marvel Tales has a similar "Who says this isn't the Marvel Age of SUPER-VILLAINS?" and I didn't post it initially but then I saw that since it has Spidey #9 on the cover, it actually has "The Marvel Age Of Comics!" on it!
  4. Evil dudes wearing green to evil green Nazi dude wearing green.
  5. My cover wrap isn't perfect, but you can still see it on there.
  6. The earliest Fantastic Four issue that I have with it on the cover.
  7. They gave it quite a rest and then snuck it into the fine print on this cover.
  8. The earliest Amazing Spider-Man to have the slogan on the cover.
  9. I suppose you'd have to say as far as publishers go, the Golden Age belonged to DC. They were the biggest, most influential publisher at that time (if you disagree with that, that's fine, but I don't want the messages about it). For Silver Age, it's my opinion that Marvel is the best, most influential publisher. The way Jimi Hendrix or Edward Van Halen revolutionized they way people played guitar, so too did Marvel revolutionize the way comic stories were told (once again, to each their own). Looking thru some of my collection, I notice that the phrase, "The Marvel Age Of Comics!" starts to take off as a company slogan. My Marvel Silver collection is far from complete, so I could use some help is posting the comics that have that slogan on the cover. Raw or certified play equally here, but remember to crop out labels from other grading companies. Have fun showing off your books!
  10. And this one, with its slightly darker variation, but still similar enough to count to me. Btw, it was a logo stripped copy of this issue and a coverless copy of ST annual #2 that were my first vintage Strange Tales issues.
  11. When I came back in to the hobby, just before turning 20, I got introduced to early Marvel Silver Age. When I saw comics with what I usually refer to as "mint green" backgrounds on covers, it always really stood out to me. They mostly got away from that later in the 60s, but the early super hero Silver is full of those "mint green" covers! In particular, THIS run has quite a few of them! For example:
  12. He doesn't seem as useful as the guy turning the big dial. I wonder what he's trying to say?
