Well a big tell tale sign is the marking that looks like a cursive J (see Captain Aero) on Big Apple books. They don't all have it though.

I've been told by a former CGC grader that it's the Big Apple copy but since I have no way to prove it, I don't call it that.

Not sure, but it might be even MORE red than that!

Contact #11 CGC 9.8 WHITE pages. Lone top census (Church Mile High was a 9.2 ow/w last time I saw it, with orangish color, not blood red like this one). Sorry, but I don't have a back cover pic handy. $4500 SOLD per pm!!!

Captain Aero #23 CGC 9.2 Universal. Label states: ow pages Big Apple Pedigree. L.B. Cole cover, Carmine Infantino art. This copy is tied for the highest grade! Difficult to price, nothing helpful on GPA, top census and killer L.B. Cole covers are hot. There is a small amount of price sticker residue on the back label portion of the slab. Not a big deal, but thought I'd mention and picture it. $2250

GPA has a few helpful prices, a 3.5 ow with "dried glue and cover re-attached with 1 piece of tape on interior cover", sold 5/20 for $2500 & a 4.0 c/ow "small piece re-attached to cover with tape" sold 2/18 for $3585. This one can go to a new home for $1750. SOLD
