I've always loved the color scheme of this cover, from the very first time I saw it and I love it equally today!

A favorite of mine of the early Spideys!

I posted a #4 a week or so ago, which was a more recent purchase. This one I bought in the early 90s I'd guess.

Got my box of early raw Spideys out this morning (some have been certified like the 1,3,5 & 9), but I still have the majority raw, as many are lower grade. Snapped a few pics too!!!

You're welcome! I agree, it's a much better composition without Bucky drawn the way he was. It's one of only a handful of Red Skull covers, so it's always been a special cover to me due to that. Once again, you've got a great looking copy!

GREAT copy Cat! Here's a screen grab of a copy someone posted after removing Bucky from the image. If I remember correctly, it was that persons feeling that Bucky was added to the cover art as an after thought, like they discovered he wasn't on there and they just kind of plopped him in, which is why it looks like he's oddly on Cap's neck. I don't own this! I DO think it's an interesting variation though.
