  1. I've had this for a half-dozen years and never snapped a pic of it .... until now.
  2. I wish I had some to share, but due to it being SO rare to the market and the enormous prices they sell for when they DO show up, I haven't been able to acquire any. I agree completely that it's MUCH rarer than DC art!!! I can only recall seeing around 20 or so pages and three or four covers of Timely superhero artwork. VERY rare!
  3. An example of a later Stan signature (2014) that I'm happy with the look of it and the placement.
  4. Thanks! I think the reason his signature looks nicer here is that it's a much earlier signed book (7/21/06) and he took more time in the earlier days than he did later in life. It was much more hit or miss in the last 6 years or so that he was signing.
  5. Excellent point!!! I never really gave that much thought, but now that I DO, you're spot on!
  6. All Winners characters hanging on a line to All Surprise characters hanging on a line.
  7. Page 1 splash from my copy of Incredible Hulk #3. The King grabbing your attention from the very first panel!!!
  8. Another very well placed Romita signature! I LOVE how it looks like his signature goes BEHIND Doc Ock's leg!!! Ever the artist, Romita is aware of how his autograph can become a part of the art.
  9. This copy lined up perfectly to the one posted above and I wanted a Stan sig on this issue too, so this was an obvious choice.
  10. The Romita signature here is placed in what I've seen to be a common spot on this particular issue and is well done. I couldn't pass this up.
  11. I bought this book already signed (as I have with ALL of my sig series books so far) and I was (and still am) VERY happy with the signature placement on it!
  12. I have a fair amount of signature series books and like them quite a lot! That said, I AM one who can be turned away from a book when I don't like where the signature is or how it looks. Signature placement can make or break for me. The Spidey #3 from the above post is too over the top for me. I would've wanted the "Excelsior" on the back cover and Stan's signature placed a little differently. That's just me, trust me, I'm not ripping on the book. This is someone's property and not for me to criticize. Another side note is that I prefer sig series books to be lower to mid grade, especially when it comes to early or expensive books. Once again, that's just my opinion …. to each their own.
