  1. There are a few Timely issues that have that kind of overprint. Oscar #3 comes to mind as well. I don't think I own this copy anymore, but you can see the overprint under the "O" in Oscar.
  2. It's SUPER COOL the way each of your copies has a different color month overprint and cover-up block! It's hard to remember, but I think I've seen more of the silver overprint. GREAT books!!!
  3. John Romita splash page to John Romita splash page. RIP
  4. A huge loss to everyone who ever met him and the comic and art world at large. I exchanged greetings with him in San Diego, very briefly, and he was SUCH a nice guy! His impact at Marvel and the entire comics collecting hobby is incalculable!!! Given the unenviable task of replacing Spider-Man's co-creator, he did so with style and grace! He will be missed by most, but his artwork will live on for all!!! RIP Sir.
  5. Some of his earliest signed superhero work. Yeah, I know, it's not Silver Age. Captain America #77, stories 2 & 4.
  6. Another Herb Trimpe signed comic, which apparently was at his last comic signing, as he passed away two days later.
  7. I searched for a thread on this and came up empty. There should be a Signature Series Bronze Age thread, so I'm just gonna start one.
  8. It's a fantastic cover and one which I'm not familiar with, as it came out before I had comics as a kid and it's beyond the main area I collect today. I'm finding more and more that there are some great books throughout the Bronze Age and beyond!
  9. I just learned that John Romita Sr. passed away on the 12th. We should certainly have a thread to celebrate the work of such a tremendous artist. Post your Romita Sr. stuff here. RIP John.
  10. Wow, you are throwing some HEAT with these high-grade copies and this one in particular has got to be kinda hard to get in this shape with having so much black on the cover!
  11. DC superheroes in suspended animation for a SUPER long time to Marvel superhero in suspended animation for substantially less time.
  12. For whatever reason (probably warehouse find), this is a common UK western! I DO have an American example as well.
