  1. not an easy book at all, jimmy. it was my last one, and one of ricky's missing two before he liquidated the run. very well done young man. Thanks Billy-boy. I hope you are having a dandy Christmas!!! My lovely daughter and I are watching cartoons and I took a little break to post some books. and a wonderful holidays to you, too, jimmy. now lean over and smooch that darling girl and tell it was from the elder geek, who is still not quite over having not seen her in october. It has been done and it has been said. She voiced an annoyance of her own to the not seeing you as well. In addition, she is requesting my return to the sofa for more cartoons and snacks (our turkey sandwiches have been consumed). That's my red and yella contribution for today ..... I'm out for now ....... MERRY CHRISTMAS FELLOW BOARD MEMBERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. This one arrived with the #7. My first dealing with comicconnect went as smooth as possible. (thumbs u
  4. Here's a book that I won just prior to the Twin Cities geekfest, but it didn't arrive until after the 2 southern geeks left town. One of Billy's favorites to be sure
  5. (thumbs u Thanks Russell, you should be getting an up close look at it over Christmas (thats right, 2 geeks that live within 8 miles of each other: go ahead .... be envious ... it's ok). I think I can sense a mini geekfest brewing ....
  6. a lotta funny book there, geek. this and that mm 49 sure did some sprucing up of the cgc box this week, i'd say. way to go jimmy. Thanks Billy-boy, sprucing has indeed been done. I was gonna save it and show you the next time we get together (you know how Russell loves that Dr. Whip-out stuff), but it's more fun to share stuff now.
  7. cool...thank goodness I decided "against" upgrading my copy, or I would have unknowingly cost you more, or cost me more... (thumbs u Thank goodness indeed Gator, as I had bid more than it wound up costing me. I've always loved that book and have wanted to reacquire a copy, but also wanted to hold out for a nice one like I used to have (which slabbed 7.5). Thanks again for NOT upgrading (thumbs u
  8. Those are nice Billy-boy. I just got this little gem in from the last Comiclink auction.
  9. WAY TO GO, GEEK!!! you keep taking my advice, there's no telling how far you might go. Probably not as far as the girl on the cover was planning to go
  10. Love to get one of those one day. About half that grade would be fine. Actually a 4.0 would be very good. and the smart aleck wonders why he has to steeply discount his books to make friends. I just got called a smart aleck... could be worse I'm actually surprised it wasn't
  11. I just picked this baby up from Xavier Logan!!! Am I happy or what? Thanks Russell !!!!!
  12. I've got tons of room. Why don't you just move down here? It snowed last night so it should be just like home! Are you offering to hire me as curator of that fantastic Houston Horde? 'Cause if you are, I might be able to make some adjustments!! hey frisco man...this past weekend ponseti showed me some seriously old pics of you from days past...man, did you have the hair Yeah, well I used to have a 30" waist too, but over time, you tend to lose some things .... I'm not sure Rick should be the one giving anyone a hard time about their hair Hi Jim Like the saying goes "Hair bands never die ... the spandex just keeps getting tighter and the hair just keeps getting whiter" ay Gator?!? Oh, Hey Steve

  16. That's one fine funny book Ricky!! If you don't have any room left in those overstuffed comic boxes of yours, you could keep it at my house for a while
  17. i was there when it was pointed out--wasn't mattie. it was a bird from a more northern clime. a very excitable bird. Do tell ......
  18. if only mine was of such a "lesser" grade. this is the daring most reminiscent of early marvels--after #1, my favorite of the run. and as to i being a fanatic, i spent a good deal of time coming up with the perfect rejoinder: so? two pretty books sir, congrats. Thanks, but they were both sold in unhappier times. I had the scans in a file and thought the folks in this thread might enjoy them. However, I don't want to misrepresent anything, so I will only post scans of books currently in my collection from now on.
  19. Here is a lesser grade, but equally cool book for all of you Timely fanatics.
  20. We like to keep the computer indoors, along with the funny books. All the snow would just lead to foxing in the spring. Soon as excitable gets his driveway clear,I'll get my new #2, and you'll have your pic. Some people pay extra for foxing
  21. yes it would, but when has "wrong" ever deterred or even entered the thought process of a 'gator fan. Easy now, isn't that "nickname" already taken?
  22. Arrrgh, thought I had pullled a Honus Wagner and had all of those recalled. I plead no contest, your honor. I'm feeling generous - what pedigree Mystery Men do you have? STEVE steve, it's the allentown m.men 11. not really for sale, was just giving a little goose to xavier logan. Don't be so firm.I am currently in possession of a sealed case of Rock Happening. Don't tell Mallette! He would have a coronary! Naw, That'll only happen when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle market bottoms out
  23. Now wait a minute .... there's no need to start trouble for me now
