One of my main problems with him though was that while he was ignoring my messages he was posting sales of his own, then he claimed he worked so much he didnt have time to respond. Which is clearly a lie. So yeah my gripe wasn't trying to come across as a non paying buyer, i was trying to re-tell a bad experience i have. I understand the sides saying it is my duty as a seller to check my paypal diligently, but because of the lack of communication, including a message i sent asking what was going on, i figured the sale was dead.

it seems that confusion has arose.. My gripe was not with the non payment, my gripe was with the lack of communication, After trying to communicate with him twice and then three weeks of nothing i considered the sale dead and moved on. Then i recieve a message from him bad mouthing me as a seller. This was a surprise to me and I responded telling him he had not tried to communicate with me at all, he then said he wanted a refund. I did not think this was fair but i have refunded his money already, I stated this on the board so that no one else would have an experience like this if they wanted to avoid it. I said nothing about his non-payment.

I have always used ebays features to tell me when a seller has paid because i only use paypal. And for board members i have never had a problem with communicating with them about payment, so I have never really had to use paypal to sort payments. In the future though when i recieve no notification I will check paypal.

I don't think "blame" is the proper word here...I would say that both of you were equally at "fault" here but it's not to a world ending degree...chalk it up to a learning experiance... (thumbs u I can live with that. Sorry for the commotion on the board

For future reference I will check my paypal when i have not recieved payment. I never received a notice from paypal in my email and never got a message back from him till 3 weeks later. I have already refunded the sellers money, but I don't see how all the blame can fall on me. I never recieved notice of payment and had over 30 payments in 3 days on paypal. Money had exchanged hands, but am i suppose to go through each of my paypal transactions when ebay tells me who has paid me. I will not do any business with him in the future, and I was trying to let it be known that if communication with a buyer is something you seek than dont look for it there.

His sale was rather small compared to the amount of money in my paypal account at the time. I was not mad that he had paid i was mad at the fact that after making no effort to communicate with me at all he demands a refund. I seriously had no idea that he had paid me and i decided the issue was dead. Then i get a message three weeks later questioning me. All it would have taken was a message form him saying payment is sent or a quick payment is on the way before he had sent payment. I held the books for him when i listed everything else on ebay, told him this and he still did not have the common curtesy to send me a reply.

I am sorry about this argument on a public post. I have felt the need to defend myself, and also let it be known that if you are going to deal with this guy dont expect a pleasent experience.

I am a very responsible seller and all of my ebay auctions have been sent out. Why should i check my transaction log if ebay has marked the shipment for me. You can check my ebay if you wish wutangcian718 22 positives in the last month. All promptly shipped Your poor communication skills are clearly at fault. Why would i single you out and not send somethhing to you.

I had no clue. He never messaged me or emailed me.

He had every chance to send me a message saying "payment will be sent shortly" while he was busy posting his own lots.

Ok here are the screen shots to show he never let me know tht payment was sent. I closed 47 ebay auctions that week which i can post links to. The number of payment notifications sent where very high. But here is proof of his poor communication By the way i have the messages from the buyer who had a problem with you. With his permission i can post them. Without further ado here is him not responding for 3 weeks. And here is another that never recieved a response

Here is a new one for the list ubermenschen001 This guy is a real class act. After he posted an "i'll take it" in my post i sent a quick message giving him my paypal and the shipping cost. He did not respond even though he had read my message. During this time he made many posts and then continued to post his own lots. I contacted again after three days just to see what was going on because i was listing everything on ebay in 2 days. I held these books off ebay for the seller for an additional day waiting for a response and never got one. He had clearly read both my messages the day i had sent them. But he continued to not respond and list his own items. After posting a comment in one of his threads saying something along the lines of "im glad you can post your own books but not even responded to my messages, he never commented in that thread again. Finally 3 weeks later i get a message back from him asking where his books are, but never once responded to any of my messages saying payment was sent. He also never tried emailing me. Not only did I have this bad experience with the seller but I have heard recently from somone that has bought one of his lots and paid immediately that they never recieved the books from him. I have conducted business with some established members on this board (jonjesper, Araich, and sid) In both of the buying cases i sent money immediately and in my selling case my item was shipped promptly. I am a firm believer in good business ethics but this guy is a total joke. So yeah ubermenschen001 is somone i would never deal with again.
