  1. I also had my books drop off of the list after being there for over 8 months. I did call and the person assured me my books were fine had been at pressing for almost 6 months and should be done there soon then back to cgc for a grade. I sent my books in March last year, so we are quickly coming up on that anniversary. I check my status every week or so and it still says completed because half the order wasn't pressed, and I got them back after about 7 months. Makes me nervous but they did assure me the books were there and making the turns to get home eventually. Call you'll feel better
  2. I have the same issue. The books have been in CCG cue since March and now it says won't display orders older then 8 months. But the tracking isn't working either. I figure we are in that sweet spot where we fell off and the new tracking hasn't grabbed us up yet?
  3. I submitted books in March and I believe they were marked received April 19th. It was 35 days from CGC receiving my books until they were opened up and available to be seen under my submissions page. I have asked in the past folks opinions of fast tracking. I think its a nice service but I also think why should you have to pay extra to get your books completed in a reasonable time. People often say just be patient and wait. I guess if you submit books every few weeks after awhile you start to receive books every few weeks and the wait times is off set by the constant deliveries. Like people on YouTube opening books every week? This bottleneck of time now that occurs between sending in your books and getting them back appears to get long and longer. The fast track model implies that CGC has the ability to speed up the process on submissions. It almost could argue that it makes more financial sense to slow down grading to create the market for a fast track model. The fast track model has been discussed for years (look online) . For a fast track model to work it implies that the start to finish relationship between the activities is discretionary. Which means if they can say the wait time will be half as long for a fee they also control how long everyone else is waiting on average for the fast track to have value and result. For some signature series its a 2 month return unless you request pressing. So that just demonstrates the ability to control time of return. Anyways I've gotten to the point of just be patient and wait. I imagine when its all said and done when I do get my books back all the time waiting will be a distant memory and I'll just be glad its done!
  4. I read also that you can't often retrieve your packing slip. But when you first made the order CGC would have sent you a receipt of it. If you archived that or still have it there should be a link on it to print your packing slip again if you need a record of your submission. I tried it again just now to make sure it works and it did hope that helps!
  5. As of today my order was delivered to CGC on 3/15/21 and still hasn't appeared in my submissions yet. They did inform me they are now opening orders received the week of 3/15/21 so today its 31 days hopefully soon.
  6. Mine was received on 3/15/21 at CGC. I was told via email they are now opening packages received the week of 3/15 so as of today 31 days now
  7. My 1st order was received at CGC on 3/15 Monday was a month and I emailed them. They told me this week they are starting to open packages received on 3/15/21. I'm like some of you this was my 1st order and I have more orders ready to go. I just need to see my order in the view submissions page before I pull the trigger. And someone up here stated get a package that someone needs to sign at CGC when your box arrives. To me after thumbing thru hundreds of forum posts here where often no one has real advice other then grin and bear it. I consider that having someone sign for it the single greatest bit of advice on this forum. William james88 said There is a way, it's the good old fashioned signature confirmation. If you get a delivery confirmation, then you know it's at CGC in the waiting list to be started on. I couldn't get the quote to work but thank you wonderful advice. I wish I had done that and will never again send a package to CGC without doing that. Waiting everyday for my order to appear has been nerve wracking.
  8. I'm pretty new here also but from what I've been reading it has gotten a lot worse lately. CGC comments about this periodically that they are working to improve the speed and hire/train staff. Once it gets opened and logged I read the wait can be a few months. I'm curious what people think of fast tracking your books. It doesn't increase the speed in which your books are logged but it does cut your return wait time in half. Do people see the value in that model? If your a collector and your having books slabbed for your personal collection does the wait matter? If you are having books slabbed with the hope of reselling them the whole process is a gamble. your gambling on the potential grade, your gambling on the book getting back to you soon enough to flip it unless you are so liquid wait times are irrelevant. And 10 extra bucks a book can be just more loss or profit. People will argue that you should have a pretty good idea of what the book is worth if you are a collector hoping to resale, but I have seen enough videos of professional comic book buyers/sellers getting a lower grade then they anticipated to know there is now way to be sure 100%. The only way to be sure of the grade is to open the return box from CGC.
  9. well in this instance I met the word grader to put emphasize on the fact they are regarded as that graders I do see according to Webster's dictionary a word in quotation marks can be considered snarky or implied they are the opposite of... That wasn't my intent I certainly wouldn't send my products to a company I didn't think was more then capable and honestly the best in that regard. My discussion has nothing to do with the way they grade books but how they appear to handle deliveries. and people waiting weeks and weeks to receive notice that CGC has received their deliveries honestly should be resolved.
  10. how did you gather this is what I am saying with my post? I am simply saying they should have a scan system that tells you when they receive a delivery instead of just waiting a month for them to get to your box then update your account. I see posts all the time online about people losing their books when they send them to a grader. BS? who knows but a scan system like fed ex, ups, and usps all ready use could be integrated to let customers know their books are in the warehouse. I'm sorry you question has absolutely nothing to do with what I said, nor did I even remotely imply they shouldn't be a grader just the best most efficient one.
  11. I submitted 21 books for pressing and submission and the last update I saw was from UPS informing me the package had been delivered. I wish CGC had some kind of a scan system you could print from their site when you complete the inventory order form and attach this "bar code" to the outside of your box they could scan in as the boxes arrive. This would be coded to your account and could simply say "your delivery was scanned into our warehouse" on submissions page. I don't mind waiting I'm a patient guy. I hate waiting for CGC to acknowledge my package is in their hands. When you spend years collecting books and send a few thousand dollars worth to a 3rd party "grader" its uncomfortable waiting to see that they are indeed in the right hands. In todays technology and for the price per book to be graded, a label they could scan already bar-coded to your account doesn't seem like a big ask.
