  1. Was gonna wish you luck on your auction but, dude, that is some sleazy stuff you just said right there (and likely illegal).
  2. That info. actually came from Peter Laird so I'd consider it confirmed (with one correction - 3,275). Details
  3. I believe TMNT #1 2nd printing was a 6,000 print run and 3rd printing was 35,000.
  4. OK, now THAT is amazing! Truly an amazing piece of TMNT history. Appreciate you sharing. Wonderful !!
  5. No kidding! It turned out to be a much larger project than I had expected. I'm very glad it's finally launched (minus the occasional enhancement or two). Appreciate the kind words.
  6. Sorry, I never thought to take pics of any of the insides. As for the cereal, it was basically sweetened Rice Chex with marshmallows (similar to Lucky Charms). I really liked it...but it was WAY sweet. Made a good snack though.
  7. Here are all 3 of them if you're interested. TMNT CEREAL MINI-COMIC #1 TMNT CEREAL MINI-COMIC #2 TMNT CEREAL MINI-COMIC #3
  8. Been a "silent" member of the TMNT #1 Club for years and have enjoyed seeing all the beautiful #1 copies out there. Been waiting for the launch of my TMNT collection website before officially joining. So, silent no more... More pics of my copy here if you're interested.
  9. My best estimate... 9.0 - $3,500-4,000 9.2 - $4,500-5,000 9.4 - $5,500-6,000
  10. I know, right? I should start working on it and stop being so lazy.
  11. Very cool. In regards to my collection, I'm not in need of anything memorabilia-wise...that stuff I always just collected here and there growing up. My main passion is the TMNT comic books...if you have any of the items on My Want List I'd be interested though.
  12. No problem ! I can't wait until you can all see it. It's been a massive undertaking for sure.
  13. That made me laugh. I wonder what kind of songs there were? Is that Vanilla Ice song on there? I was hoping I had taken a picture of the back of the cassette so you could see what songs were on it but, unfortunately, I only took a picture of the front of it. I took pics of the backs of many items...not sure why I didn't do it for this. The track listing can be found here though. Once my site is launched I'll have to go back and get some additional pictures of things like that. Here are some of the things I gathered from the tour when it came to Denver in 1990...
  14. I have lots of this type of stuff in my collection. I can't wait to show it all off. I love this old stuff...I was a teen in the mid-late 80's and there was a wealth of this stuff to be had. So cool !! Thanks for sharing.
  15. Thanks man! I'm really looking forward to having my collection out there for all to see.
  16. Not yet but it will be soon if all goes well. The database for my website is all built and I've been working on getting the actual website launched for years (my blog is just an extension of the full site). Hopefully will be launched by FCBD this year...*fingers crossed*
  17. I checked on both of these in my database. The only notes I recorded about the SDCC version is that it was handed out at the 2006 SDCC. For the regular version, my recollection is that this was a freebie given to comic shops for distribution (or given to those that subscribed to the other 2007 movie books). I remember that I found a copy in my comic subscription box at my local shop when I went to pick up my comics. Pretty sure I never specifically ordered it.
  18. I wonder if it was to be labeled "AMERICAN" or something else beginning with "AME" and then just got missed in the editing. Very odd stuff. Does it list who the editor was for this edition?
  19. Hi there ! Those NECA figures were really great...some of my favorites. There is a discussion somewhere about these but I can't recall where. Anyway, you'll have to keep an eye out for knock-off versions of the NECA figures in the round / cylindrical containers. There were two versions, blister-pack / square packed and cylindrical. Apparently (and you'll have to forgive me...I'm not an expert on these), the cylindrical ones were either counterfeited or had replica / knock-off versions created and then sold as authentics. I don't know the signs to look for on the knock-off versions. I'm sure someone else here does though and will chime in.
  20. Now that is interesting and not something I ever noticed. I honestly don't see an "A" anywhere but I do see "ME." I looked at my copy and it indeed has the same markings. Makes me wonder if that was done to hinder would-be counterfeiters given that the cover art is identical to the first 3 printings of #1. Still begs the question of what the actual characters stand for. Does anyone have easy access to their copy of this? Mine is archived away. I'd be interested to see the publishing notes and legal stuff on the inside the comic. May provide some clues to this.
  21. Yes, the washed-out copy is a printing error copy. It's fairly hard to find and it's really only noticeable if you know to look for the drab colors (or see them side-by-side). It's rare but I don't know it's worth anywhere near what this seller is asking. I'd estimate it to be in the $100 range but, then again, I don't see them very often.
  22. GG counterfeits are a huge part of TMNT history. Easily reproduced In the late 80's and early 90's (prior to the internet) and few people could say for sure what they truly looked like (black, yellow, blue). I picked up my yellow counterfeits on eBay back in the mid-90's but I'd known they were counterfeit (although the seller claimed they were real). Picked up a set of blue counterfeits at an antique auction a few years ago. Why would I want counterfeits? I wanted the counterfeits for my collection.
  23. Very nice score man. Congrats! An amazing addition to an already epic collection. Well done sir...well done!
