  1. Welp I almost had a submission go off without some ort of hitch. Whose idea was bring you dog to work day anyways??
  2. Modern Rec 2/4/22 SFG 2/15/22 GEI 5/3/22 G/QC 5/6/22 Shipped 5/9/22
  3. yeah, got the refund sorted at least. Pretty disappointed overall, but I'm just happy to have gotten some books slabbed
  4. Thanks man I'm really trying not to lose it on the customer service representatives who keep getting me halfway closer to a solution. To keep the story going Darren (who originally offered me the $50 +$50 credits) got in contact with Marcus (who I spoke with last night) so they can get the credit sorted, don't know why it's taken longer than a couple hours, let alone a day. Then I'll let Martinez (accounting) know the credit is there so he can refund it for me. THEN I'll cancel my account and wait for this last submission. Serious to god if I was billing CGC hourly for how long it's been to figure out this newton rings/credit/damage/invoice error they'd barely be paying me minimum wage with this credit. Rant over, I'll be back with the conclusion.
  5. I've been a member for almost a year first submission took way way longer than they said (170 business days instead of 130) Did a submission with my LCS, one book was damaged and one slab was cracked This ME mess and now the invoice problems with my 4th submission I love the slabs and grading books is a really fun extension of the hobby, but not when something so simple is such a headache
  6. Okay I wasn't gonna complain again, but I know my fellow canuck is as invested in this situation as I am so here's the short, full story of my experience with QC/customer service. Got a slab, had a small chip with large newton rings on the front cover, signed 5x detective comics 1000. Emailed CGC, they said it qualified for a free reholder and sent me the directions on how to do it. Couple weeks later they get me a shipping label. At this point I'm questioning what took so long, but happy to be getting it reholdered. While being reholdered I got an email. Book got damaged when being taken out, will be 9.6 now, sorry for the inconvenience, here's a $50 credit. Really nice considering they assume 0 liability for this stuff. On a second look, it'll be a 9.4, here's another $50 credit. That one hurt the soul, but oh well I'll use the credit on my next submission. Next order goes out and wow, charged the full amount with no invoice sent. I called accounting and they said sorry about that, but we only see a $50 credit so that's all I can refund you for. Dude on the phone was very helpful, but his hands were tied because the only credit there was $50. So now I have to call customer service tomorrow to figure out where the other $50 is and then I can follow up with accounting AGAIN to get that refunded. Sorry, rant over. Thanks for reading.
  7. They said I had a $100 credit on my account and I just got billed the full amount for my most recent order so I messaged accounting and no response as well as no reciept for the charge so yeah Someone's account won't be renewed March 6th

  13. pretty much, its gotten very expensive to slab a comic yourself and its not like I'm a flipper or sell a lot, just a guy who wanted to slab some of my favorite books cuz I had a good tax return last year My account still has the 10% off so I submitted a few more books for myself and a couple others from guys in my community and that'll be all she wrote
