  1. I am not Paul, but given that you can look up existing cert by number, all the graded cards are already in the database, and be easily queried. I am surprised to learn that this is task will take months. It should be 2 queries, one match the set, card number, and grade. one match the set, card, number and graded higher. And 2 lines in the UI to expose the result is already there since the cert lookup share entry point with comics.
  2. They are both best offer. I posted both public view and private view screenshots of Carson Palmer, since it didn't even show Best offer accepted for him. Marqise Lee shows best offer accepted so I posted the link to ask folks what they see. It doesn't matter now. Someone posted a site that shows the value. Everyone benefit from it, that's all that matter.
  3. Yes it was. The screenshot says $89.99 or best offer.
  4. Which site is this? I tried WatchCount, but it just talk about the view page source and search.
  5. So ebay is being dishonest or have very bad bug. This lead to perceive higher market value for items, so item sell for more and ebay get more from sales.
  6. I read this on website before and tried it on item I know how much it sold for, I don't think it works. How much do you guys see this item sold for? https://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-Leaf-Valiant-Draft-Black-5-Marqise-Lee-Rookie-RC-BGS-9-5-10-Sub-9-Auto/302476153220 We also have case where sold price is wrong so folks get the wrong idea what the market value is.
  7. In that case, it's probably spotlight, the damage was likely from the targeted heat inside a contained space.
  8. Depends on the kind of light they used. I did my research with LED light, I am comfortable with it. The one in my office haven't been turned off in 7 years except for power outage. I don't see any issue. But I am looking at statues, comic might be different.
  9. Yes, I think this is what I used. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/norrfly-led-light-strip-aluminum-color-80332307/
  10. You don't need the slab to have UV protection, make your display cases to be UV protected, then you can put anything in it. All my display cases at home are UV protected. Black one is from Ikea, just replace the glass door with acrylic plastic with UV protection, white one is custom built-in with UV protected acrylic doors as well.
  11. Are these dots with the same shape on the same # card at the same location consider error? If I submit error card, and I didn't know it's an error, would that attribute be added for me?
  12. The instruction is clearly on the box. Imagine you are looking at mountain of boxes, you just scan for EX or WK on them. They might not look at each label like they used to do.
  13. I am sure they already have people dedicated to each tier, notice the estimate going up across the board. All orders are not created equal, I doubt WK & EX are making bulk/economy wait time increase to such degree. It's likely too many bulk and economy subs that are causing that. When people submit WK, and EX the count is really low, maybe a few cards in each sub. But bulk are 50 minimum, and people are submitting 100s. I have only been here a few days. People's general complaints are that CGC are holding the cards for too long, and the estimate are wrong, or they can't change the order once they submitted. I can't really help make them grade more/faster but some of the general complaints can be addressed by gating the influx of boxes. CGC can implement a simple queue system on their site. Example if Bulk is estimated to be 40 working days. When you create your order, for bulk and economy, you don't print out the invoice and mail the cards. You are entered into a queue, they will give you an estimate of how long before you can send you order in, and when your order is in they have 40 working days to work on it. CGC know how many cards they can grade a day, they know how many cards they have received and entered into their system, they know how many cards that are queued before you, so the estimate should be pretty accurate, and it should be faster because some folks might not wait and decide to use another service before they send need to send in their card. With this system, they only hold the card for the time to grade and the buffer they give clients to mail in the card, so if they estimate 40 working days, they tell you to mail in your card 2 months before they are schedule to work on your card, they should never hold your card above their estimate. And as long as you haven't mail in your order, you can change the order. So if when you create your order, you see 8 months queue time before you can send in card, you can change a few cards to EX and get that done faster and let the rest of the card wait. And right now if you make a mistake mailing card in, they have way too many boxes there to help find your box and make changes. Well they no longer have this issue. As a matter of fact problem like forgetting to write EX shouldn't even exist, if they only request client to send them boxes when they are ready to process them, they shouldn't be overwhelmed like they are currently.
  14. Thankfully it is real. Here is my sub form, and register mail recipe with the sent date matching my post. Picture of the 3 boxes I have minus the cards I sent, and the 20 1st ed Abra I am sending in this weekend.
  15. I hope so, I just want to be able to buy a few packs for my kids when we go to the store. I can't find any pokemon cards at my local retail store. As for wait time. I just did my first sub yesterday. I found a few boxes of 1st edition base set a few weeks ago cleaning house, a little research lead me to grading. Since we are talking about 1st ed Charizard, I submitted one using WK, and 38 base set 1st ed holo using EX, and 150 high price base set using economy. 95% of my sub should come back over 8. I considered using standard over economy, and decided against it, I didn't need the card back quick, so there is really no reason for me pay $2k more just to have them back early to sit inside boxes, I will likely still have to pay up charge because many of the high price common goes over $400 if graded at 8, but hey if they are worth more I will pay for that, not for faster service. I will send the rest of 1000 1st ed base cards slowly. Probably submit 200 to bulk every week, that way they will space out a month each when they are graded since the line is growing so fast Anyways, I am not going to complaint about CGC, the Charizard will cost me over $3k to grade at PSA, it's less than $200 with WK at CGC and most of it is insurance.
