Oh yes , that whole series is on my list.

I saw that one from Metro and I was tempted . I think I am going to hold of buying until Wiz Chicago. Metro has several of the issues I want but most of the ones they have are the uber copy. I am finding either beaters or the best known, most glorious pedigreed example ever made. I am usually a mid-grade collector. It depends how much I like the cover or how hard it is to find if I'll buy these in very high grade or settle on a beater. My quest has just begun!! I ended up buying Murder Incorporated #1 from Metro at F+. It was at guide and I was happy with that. I'll post it tonight.

Here are my three suggestions (and personal favorites). Sorry for stretching the screen but these girls are worth it. Add Spirit #20-22 to your list. Those are absolutely fantastic... I now must have those on the list, especially #22.

I posted in the General Forum in the "What are you collecting thread" that I am trying to collect pre-code books with covers of femme fatales. Fitting with my enjoyment of film noir, I am looking for dangerous women, women with guns, knives, or generally looking malicious. I like the noir feel so I am trying to keep it "reality" based, so I am ruling out sci-fi, jungle, superhero covers. For example, although Catwoman has some cool cover appearances, she doesn't count for this list. After doing some research via Comics.org I have managed to create a list of about 55 books, but October in a few minutes has given me a few suggestions I didn't have and suggested I post here asking for your input. I do have Crimes by Women on my list, various covers from Headline Comics, Crime Does not Pay, Gangsters & Gun Molls, Prison Break, Fight against Crime. I recently picked up Murder Incoporated #1, which I hope to post a scan of later. Any suggestions are appreciated. I hope to have fun hunting these in Wiz Chicago.

Great pictures. Japanese monsters My first kid was born in 2000, so I lost my comic room in 1999. However, my third and last should be old enough to get tossed into a room with his sibling within a year. So, if you follow my path, you'll get your room back in 9 years. Nice displays everyone. I have 4 little ones and there is no way I could display anything. I could see them cutting up my books to make Batman collages or rip them to pieces as they fight over them, which is what they do with the beater books I give them. Maybe someday I'll get some space.

That is my collecting strategy for the next 25 years! Outlive the boomers and scoop up their collections from their ungrateful children who just want to make a quick buck... I 'd want Tec 27.

Steve, my goodness, the white on those covers is so, well, white! I think everything I have ever seen on one of these is some shade of yellow. Nice, nice, nice...

Thanks Griz - I am very happy with it (and I should mention that the seller - Harley Yee - had a very reasonable price on the book). Pound-for-pound, I think Planet is one of the primo runs of the Golden Age. STEVE Good to know. I have never bought from Harley Yee, although I have browsed his booth at Wizard Chicago many times and I know he is a reputable dealer. I found his pricing was a bit high for me on the things I was interested in. I love the Planet Comics covers. I really don't know much yet about them other than they look great. I think Bill Jourdain did a podcast on them in his Golden Age site. I'll have to download it again. Again, wonderful addition for you.

I think this issue will qualify...from Harley Yee this weekend. For some reason, I've never seen a Planet 34 this nice (and it has great pages, too): STEVE Allow a noob to compliment you on a beautiful book. Very sharp. Planet Comics is on my wish list... in about a decade after I finish Tec.

That is a very nice looking #9. I personally found that a hard one to get in nice condition.

112 was the last Warren issue published in 1983. Harris boughts the rights when Warren went bankrupt and published an issue 113 in 1988. It is all reprinted material. However, the 113 is scarce and commands good $$. later I'll try to scan and post some of my Vampi's that you haven't shown. I have a nice #3.
