personally i find the NA16 cover the most boring of the lot. not that i don't like it, but compared to the other real 'adventure' covers, it pales.

hey brian i was one of the people who made an offer to bruce from ebay with the na26. even though my offer was very strong he decided to go with comiclink. they must of been very persuasive i agree that na26 may not be as rare as once was, but it is still a RARE book. no if or buts about it.

That and the fact that NA 26 is one of the most highly sought after covers by Flessel. one of MY biggest regrets was selling the NA26 8.0SP copy (2 twice ) so i HAD to win this! :banana: Aha! Glad it went to a boardie So is this really THE toughest DC book? nope, not by a long shot...there are lots of tougher books, but in much less collected titles (buzzy, funny stuff, comic calvacade, etc)...ever since Ian publicized this issue so much, I bet we have seen 6-10 copies trade hands... jus sometimes takes some big $ to make folks shake some out (all this my opinion of course) Rick, in your opinon, what is the toughest single DC (other than ashcans)? Would Double Action 2 be up there? even though your question was directed at rick i would like to say that DA2 would not be up there. i have seen and had access to 3 copies in the last couple of years. if you are not including ashcans, giveaways and cover variants - some DC books i have not seen too many of for sale include: tec3 + 5 MF35 + 40 + 45 new adventure 12 + 13 + 15 Double Action #2 is one book where there is a fairly well known total population with all but a couple coming from Sol Harrison's estate, right? I suspect all the other scarce books would show up in greater quantities if there was a price rise and some publicity. DA #2 already sells for a very high price and has been well-publicized and we still don't seem to be increasing the population beyond what was known 10 - 15 years ago. that is true. i suspect that there may be two to three times more of the DC books i mentioned above in collections at present compared to DA2 copies. just fewer of them have come to sale.

pre hero more fun comics are SUPER rare. it would be very difficult to put a run together. saying that i would think it is 'on par' with new adventure/adventure.

ian paid $8000 for his VG copy. i think it was from harley yee... other than the copy on heritage back in 2006 the comiclink copy is the only copy i have seen come to public auction.
