Nice comic, quickly shipped, very easy to deal with. Thanks, Ed!
  3. No doubt. I didn't even put a serious bid on it, because I tought it would have gone for alot more than it did.
  4. What do you guys think of the B & B #1 8.0 selling for (just) $2620? Considering the next highest graded is a 7.0 and one just sold for $2271, I thought it would go for quite a bit more.
  5. During my brief intense search for these books, I found this to be true as well. You've motivated me to keep my books and keep looking. I don't know if I should thank you or curse you You're better off with them, so you'll thank me! (thumbs u
  6. Thanks, Barton. There are a few that are really tough to get in 9.6+. 1. 36 2. 26, 66 4. 35 3 still have no 9.8s but enough 9.6s to be able to pick one up. Interesting. I've been trying to complete the run in lowly 9.6, and I haven't been able to pick up #35 and 66 yet. #38 and #65 have been elusive too. 35 is very tough, 2 9.8s and 3 9.6s. The third 9.6 only showed up recently. I had, at one time, my 9.8 and a 9.6, but it wasn't a pretty one. They usually aren't. 38 was also pretty tough. White page seem to be tough on that book too. 65 shouldn't be all that tough to find though, in 9.6. When I started the run, 66 only had 1 9.8 and 3 9.6s. I was able to find two nice raws that ended up 9.6, so there are 5 now. It's been that way for quite a while though. I think there is a 9.8 Qualified 66 too. I'll keep an eye out for those books in 9.6 for you
  7. I also wanted to thank boardies that I know I got some of thes books from. I hope I don't miss anyone. greggy, joeypost, topnotchcomics, iecarus, bedrock, Kramerica, King of Rulers, sharpcomics (raw 9.8s),,,I think that's all I can remember.
  8. Thanks, Barton. There are a few that are really tough to get in 9.6+. 1. 36 2. 26, 66 4. 35 3 still have no 9.8s but enough 9.6s to be able to pick one up. Wes, I usually reserve this quote for girls with great figures, but nice set! (thumbs u I've had more luck with the ladies than I have getting some of these books in 9.8. And trust me, that's saying a lot!
  9. Thanks, Barton. There are a few that are really tough to get in 9.6+. 1. 36 2. 26, 66 4. 35 3 still have no 9.8s but enough 9.6s to be able to pick one up.
  10. Marvel Tomb of Dracula 1-70 and Giant Size 1-5. It's complete, but not finished. It has 60 9.8s and 15 9.6s. It has 3 lone highest graded 9.8s and 4 Pedigrees.
  11. Nice work, Barton! Every time I see that FF 166, I think Keith Pollard...and I keep thinking wrong.
  12. From WW Chicago On-Site: Tied for 2nd highest graded:
  13. Another great deal with Barton, as usual.
  14. The book has no stress and sharp corners. There is a small almost unnoticeable crack to the ink on the tip of one corner. From the front cover it's visually a solid 9.4/9.6. The back cover has a little creamyness at the corners and possibly even a little foxing. They hammered the grade because of it. The book was slabbed before I got it signed and it got the same grade from the CGC both times. Heartbreaking, but far and away the nicest 7.0 that will ever be on the census. I'll never sell it anyway, so the grade really doesn't matter much to me. Yeppers. Foxing and heavy tanning like that will get hammered everytime. That's too bad. The front cover QP is stellar.
  15. Dice, why did that book get a 7.0? I've seen 9.0s that look much worse. Congrats on your grail!
  16. should only be used if I were to get a 100 pager that you actually need.
  17. Just got a nice lone highest graded 9.8 W ToD from Mark. Great guy to deal with, thanks!
