  1. Damage that was indicated to them when I sent it back... Looking at the certification number for the new photos you can see there's more damage and the pictures look grainy as all hell...... Nothing but crickets from the company, they've got my contact information.
  2. Honestly I don't think there's anything we can do outside of telling other's what happened. CGC Damaged a card that was Gem mint on the verge of Pristine depending on grading standards. Requested it be returned so the Manager of the Processing department could take a look at it and compare photos. Card was sent back with the grime cleaned off, same grades, and more damage. Honestly it shouldn't grade a 9 at all at this point. Pursue action? I don't think anyone can, they'll never take fault. I may dislike BGS and disagree with their opinions sometimes, but at least they never damaged anything. Personally, all I can do is chalk it up and take the L on losing a 1 of 1 in a 10 on a 20 year old card that could've gone for a few thousand that's now worthless. Everything I have will be going to PSA when they open bulk submissions back up and getting out of these CGC slabs.
  3. Yep, and was sent back to them. Was told head of a department would take a look. They got sent back, no notification of what the issue was and one of them is in worse shape than it was when it was sent the second time. Didn't get any communication on what happened, what went wrong, if there was a mix up or anything.... Never sending anything to them again. Secondary pictures posted up show the new damage even though the photo's are grainy as all hell... Wouldn't recommend sending anything to them anymore as they'll leave you high and dry
  4. Problem is I know it will be an uphill battle, markings don't show anything a USPS sorting machine would do. With them being in a top loader as well.. It almost looks like it was damaged from sitting in the warehouse under a stack of boxes for the 2 months it took for the express order. Unfortunately I'm not sure as nobody will want to take responsibility for the side damage.. But the other damage wasn't there to one card when sent in. More of a pain and disappointment that something that could've been a decent blank check is now trashed.
  5. Has anyone had an issue making a claim with CGC for damaging cards? One was PRISTINE when sent in, the other got a grade I was expecting (roughly) Looks like one was dropped showing the silvering on the top of a card as well as a corner ding and they both now have ridges in them that were NOT there when sent in. Ironically in the exact same spot If ya'll want to look, certification numbers are as follows: 3859609001- Neo Genesis Typhlosion 3859609002- SM Promo Shining Lugia If you look at them, there's damage to BOTH cards in roughly the exact same place, pictures of the back show it best. Now Typhlosion was sent to them in PRISTINE condition, now it shows the same damage as the Shining Lugia, as well as Silvering/Bend at the top of the card as well as a nick in the top right corner (back). Does anyone know what their policy is on Damaged cards? Or how rough the process is?
