  1. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here's the Batman #28 Steampunk Variant: I managed to nab 2 copies of the variant and 5 copies of the regular cover.
  2. Oh, you poor baby. Both of my sons live in Glendale. I visited them last March. (thumbs u
  3. It's not worth much. I'll take it off your hands. Great find by the way. (thumbs u
  4. Very nice. I actually came to this thread to ask how rare this variant is, and this was the first post that popped up for me. So... um, how rare is this variant, anyway? I checked ebay and didn't find any copies up for sale, and only one sold listing since November. You guys must get tired to tourists like me popping in this thread every time we stumble on a price variant. I have found it to be on the tougher side of average... The price box makes it harder for the normal cherry picker to pull, so less show up, especially nice copies That's a great point. I'm one of those people who rely on the starburst around the price to know that it's a price variant. I do have a complete list of all of the Marvel 30 and 35 cent price variants on my iPad but I rarely check for those books when I'm long box diving.
  5. Cap looks like he's shoving that spear up that guy's nose.
  6. Thanks for the info and the link. (thumbs u
  7. Don't see these very often so I picked them up recently. Marvel Comics Super Heroes Binocular Sets from 1984.
  8. Does anybody know anything about these? The guy is asking $500 for the complete set. Don't know if that's a good buy or not. There are 7 magazines in total: Marvelmania Magazine #1,2,4,5 and 6 Marvelmania Catalog #2 Marvelmania Comic Artist Ink and Coloring Kit Also, let me know if anybody is interested in these. The only way I can get them right now is to buy them and flip them quickly. I think he'll budge on the asking price.

  10. I picked up pretty nice copies of Daredevil #168, Marvel Spotlight #1 and Green Lantern/Green Arrow #89 at a local flea market for $5 each today. Also picked up Akira 36 & 37 and Marvel Premiere 48 at a local bookstore.
  11. That book looks one hell of a lot better than a 5.0.
  12. I never did this till recently (2yrs) but my first time ever I found a copy of Uncanny XMEN 21-33 in a antique shop. 12 books for 20bucks. There are still prizes to be had out there. Live, eat and breathe comics every day and you'll find some goodies out there. (thumbs u
  13. That's one thing I love about these boards. You can learn just by looking at the pictures....you know, similar to Playboy. Seriously, I knew nothing about the Akira #38. Not a title I've ever read. So when I see pics like this I'm thinking "Now why did he post that particular book?" Sure enough, I go check eBay and BAM another book added to my to-look-for list. (thumbs u
  14. I just want to know the combination of that safe.
  15. Not a bad trade...a bunch of comics for two 10.0s.
  16. Here's a different "collectible" for you. I finally got around to unrolling and hanging a big vinyl banner I won at a post comicon auction at the North Texas Comic Show in Dallas on Jan. 12th. The banner is made of heavy vinyl and is 48" wide and 72" tall. They auction these banners off after the shows to help Ron Marz raise money for the Toys for Tots campaign. I was lucky enough to win the 1st banner put up for auction. And to make it even better, it's signed and personalized by both Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz. Enjoy!
  17. Sweet thats not bad Does anyone know if theres a long list of artists and what they charge to sign? Check with Desert Wind Comics. They do signings all year long so they would have a great idea what each artist charges.
