I just recently bought this 9.8 Thor 337, and looking at it really close in person, spotted 3 defects. One might be a manufacturing error that gets overlooked during grading, but the other two are spine ticks. (Would the first defect be ignored?) This is the first graded comic I’ve bought, so I just wanted to share to get some insight. Was this comic incredibly lucky to get a 9.8? I’m feeling like submitting this for the Simonson signing would be a mistake.

I took a second look because I could see how the picture appears to have some color rub. It was just the glare of the photo. Thankfully no color rub. I have a couple third print Star Wars Legacy books that have pretty substantial color rub that I'm hoping cleans off if I send them out.

The bottom left corner is what specifically concerns me. I REALLY have my fingers crossed for a 9.8. You really think pressing this and the other book could do more harm than good? Everything I’ve seen has said to press and clean no matter what.

I purchased this comic myself originally in 2006. It has been bagged and boarded its entire life. There is one one dot that can hardly be seen in the pictures that is located next to the bottom of the lower staple. You can kind of make it out in the picture of the entire front, but it is hard to make out in the picture of the corner due to the glare. I plan on having this comic sent off to be cleaned and pressed by CCS before grading by CGC. I have never submitted anything for grading before, but wanted input from people with more experience than myself!
