  1. I'm in Belgium and have shipped and received over 200 packages with art abroad. My major takeaway: be careful when using national postal services (usps etc) as they work together with other national postal services and that's where problems usually begin. I've had packages being held for over a year and none of the postal services having any idea where the package is. And then having the package arrive out of the blue. When I want art shipped that is expensive or very dear to me, I always ask to use FedEx or UPS as, so far, this has never led to any issues and they are much, much faster than any national service. Yes, they are more expensive, but peace of mind is worth it.

  2. I came to the boards hoping someone started a thread about exactly this. It was my first thought when I saw the news of the crypto implosion yesterday: "oh, now prices for original art will become normal again". But as the Heritage signature auction is loaded with excellent art, I think the best one of recent years (or at least for art I like), I'm not holding my breath. And people that have been able to sell on a high in the last few auctions now have money to spend on some great art.

  3. I'm actively looking for Mignolaverse (Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Witchfinder, BPRD,...) OA from the following artists: Alise Gluskova; Ba/Moon brothers, Brian Churilla, Cameron Stewart, D'Israeli, Gary Gianni, Jason Latour, John Severin, Julian Totino Tedesco, Karl Moline, Matt Smith, Michael Avon Oeming, Mike Norton, Mindy Lee, ryan Sook, Scott Hampton, Shawn Martinborough, Wilfredo Torres and Yishan Li. I know some of them work digitally so monoprints/artist proofs are fine as well.

All replies will be answered and if people are looking for a Mignolaverse trade there are Guy Davis, Tim Sale, Troy Nixey, Leila Del Duca, Bridgit Connell, John Cassaday, Ben Stenbeck, Andrea Mutti, Andi Watson and even Adam Hughes Mignolaverse pages that I can trade with.

  4. It started as 2 and then 3 got in the mix. 3 as in: building a themed collection. 1 has never been a style for me. And will never be. If any art I picked up will sell for a profit later that's fine, but if it doesn't that's fine as well as I have enjoyed looking at it or enjoyed spending lots of time trying to complete my main 'theme' collection (contacting artists, talking with other collectors, reading and rereading books,...). The money I spend is money I can afford to lose. I just can't approach this as a stock market and don't want to rely on future sales. I for one will probably be happy if the OA market cools and some pages will become affordable again even if this means some of my art will have become less worth.
