  1. Here's a photo of the issue which they wouldn't let me add since this is my first post I guess? I want to let everyone know what I'm talking about because it tells the story better than I can. BTW this is a really nice Conan #275 with that tough black cover which looks AMAZING other than this dumb staple! UGH!!! Help me understand how this would be treated on an otherwise 9.4/9.6/9.8?? comic... Thanks so much for the grading insights my fellow CGC'ers!!!
  2. I am wondering how CGC would evaluate a staple that was so badly misshapen due to a bindery issue at the printer that the wire actually created a small hole in the centerfold from the end of the staple that wouldn't have happened if the staple was correctly affixed to the book during the printing process. As I understand it bindery defects that occur because of issues with the comic book printer's production process are typically not counted or counted as harshly against a book by CGC as long as the book is sound otherwise, think the cover being wrapped incorrectly, square-bound spine dimples, double cover, and many other bindery issues that happened before the book is shipped to the distributor. The best that the book can be is when it arrives at the distributor and CGC typically grades books with bindery defects on a curve, taking into account said bindery defects before they start counting up any post-printing process defects that should've been mitigated by rabid collectors' strict adoption of correct collecting protocols designed to mitigate 100% of pesky grade affecting problems by just taking an insanely proactive approach to your comic collecting venture... Right? Who's coming with me? I'm not gonna do what everyone thinks I'm gonna do and freak out! For cereal how does CGC handle a problem that really isn't something that I can press out... Thanks for the insight into the minds of the all-knowing and powerful CGC graders
