  1. Yes but I wanted to post it up so everyone could see it, not just as an attachment. I could find no option to do so. Copy the URL of the pic (whether from your own website, or from attaching it to the post and then downloading the attachment and copying its URL). Then Post a message and click the "Image" Instant UBB Code. Paste the copied URL into the field for the URL when it pops up. That's all it takes.
  2. I've never heard of it. Where did you spot it WOW !!!!!!!!!!! I spotted it in person. I'll see if I can latch onto it and post a pic sometime. But still, being a 2002 issue, now that you know about it you can probably scare one up.
  3. Pryzm: Chapter One: The Dark Unicorn: In this fantasy action/adventure, Pryzm, a young winged unicorn, and Karrock, a tenacious old troll, seek the cause of a plague of dark magic that has corrupted the lands and twisted the inhabitants into hideous mutants. The unlikely duo use their spectacular magic powers to defend themselves and heal the mutant enemies they encounter on their journey, gradually cleansing the lands of the plague until at last they discover its perilous source. Pryzm: Chapter One: The Dark Unicorn is scheduled to release on PlayStation 2 June 11, 2002.
  4. I've miraculously got the whole set of ten. One is common Two and three are hard to find Four and five are rare Six through ten are literally IMPOSSIBLE. Well, not completely impossible. I bought the whole set from the USPS. They mailed them to me as each issue was printed. Maybe I was their only subscriber? BTW, I spotted a DC giveaway called "Pryzm". Has the DC logo on the cover. It seems to be based on the PlayStation II video game. Maybe came packaged with the game? It's a mini comic, about 4x6". I did a quick Google search but couldn't find an image to put up to show you. Anyway, it's from 2002, so I'd bet there's a good chance that you have it, but it wasn't on the list I posted or on the notes you added so I don't know for sure. Perhaps you could post the whole list of promos that you know exist, or maybe just the list of those that you have?
  5. The Celebrate the Century comics are on the list I posted. The list doesn't indicate that they are from the USPS, but it doesn call them Stamp Albums. There was only the one set of the Celebrate the Century comics from DC/USPS, so they've got to be the same books.
  6. What's Nascar Is it the Superman meets the Motorsport Champions comic If so, I have it. If not then I don't know what it is. NASCAR = a certain kind of auto racing. And I just checked and found the issue -- you nailed the title. No need to worry about adding another comic to your search.
  7. A couple years ago I picked up a Superman comic that was attached to a Superman shirt as a promo. I think it was NASCAR related. Does a comic of that description sound familiar? I'd have to check to find out the title if that isn't enough to jog your recall of the issue if you already are aware of it.
  8. There is another English guy called Earl J. Davis, who knows even more about the DC giveaways and premiums than I do. He has something to do with the Comic Price Guide forums. I wish he'd come on here and join in this discussion. Yeah, that must be the same Earl that was commenting throughout the CPG forum thread that I linked to!
  9. Nothing new to you then. Ah well, too bad. I didn't realize the source of the list was that DC Index. I picked it up from here.

  11. Lingerie? Um... isn't that just a wedding dress...? The bridesmaid and the other women are in regular dresses too, so.... Can't you see the garter belt? That's lingerie my friend! Sure, you can't miss the garter belt. Hokay, call it a lingerie cover if you want. But them's mighty slim pickin's. You must be a leg man!

  13. Nope, being on a Mac shouldn't have anything to do with your success or failure. Rather than clutter up this thread, send me a PM containing the "code" that you say shows up listed in your post when you try to follow the procedure for making an inline image. I'll compare to my working HTML and maybe that will help us sort out the difference and figure out what's going wrong for you. For your example code, try the same attachment that I first changed into an in-line image for you. Then I'll do the comparison and know exactly what the HTML code should be.
  14. You're welcome. It's easy to do -- you can do it too. Just do the attachment (like you did) and put your post on the board. Then click on the attachment to your message. Copy the entire URL that you see in your browser's address field (ie, the http://255.255.255.255/etc sort of thing). Do another post, or edit your first post, and click the Instant UBB Code link for Image. A dialog box pops up -- paste in the URL that you copied, click OK, and put the post on the board. Voila! Your inline-image will appear.
  15. Means that the retailer didn't sell the book on the newstand, so to get credit from the distributor the retailer stripped the top part of the front cover and returned that to substantiate the requested credit. The resulting stripped books were then expected to be trashed/destroyed by the retailer but many escaped such a fate. I've got a handful of coverless Conan #1s that I think were are likely the result of a retailer stripping the entire cover.
