My Slow Economy order was received 2/17/21 and just went to GEI today (20 book order).  Seems like they are starting to have to grade these now.

They just hit me for $3500 yesterday as well (for Nov-Jan submissions) - maybe their 1st Quarter revenue is looking a little light.

One question I have for the people that are receiving expedited grading (again, good for you). Do you have other books still stuck in the pipe line? If so, I get the feeling CGC is using this new "policy" to appease customers who are stuck in limbo with their earlier submissions. Grading the newly opened packages is likely a much easier task than going through the tens of thousands of submissions opened back in June to find books of return customers. 

With that being said, I really don't understand what would constitute the expedited grading for some submissions. It's not like CGC all of a sudden developed an automated system to bypass the existing grading methodology. For instance, once books reach the grading room, they'll all be graded the same way, which shouldn't take too long if they're next in the pipeline. Same goes for encapsulation and imaging.

I basically received expedited service on 3 shipments (30) books.  But, I still have another 150 that haven’t moved (weekly shipments since May).  They also just charged me $2,700 for all of the ones stuck in limbo at the same time.  I had hoped that meant they were coming soon, but still in SFG.

I am relatively new - have been sending in since May (busted open my collection from 30-40 years ago).

Anyway, I have 9 orders that were officially received/entered starting on 7/30.

Interestingly, none of them have moved beyond SFG, but the 4 most recent items received are shown in the photo - they were all mailed around 8/26-9/5.

Definitely not FIFO - and these aren't even express orders - they are Modern (and not even fast-tracked).  One was received on 10/4 and shipped back on 10/6 - I'll have it by next week.:

Just broke open some old boxes from about 30 years ago.  I am a complete newbie on grades - was hoping to get an idea of what a few of my books would grade out to.  I love the various comments in other threads and have already learned a lot.  Thanks in advance!
