  1. Posting one more. No introduction necessary.
  2. Thanks to Andy, I am able to start posting a few scans. First is an OFF #71 9.0. It is a rarity in that it is a DOUBLE COVER!! Keith
  3. Andy, I will have more books posting on e-bay hopefully every day for a while. Many of the copies I am selling are not undercopies. I have just decided to sell them. I still have many nice DC war that I am not selling that I would like to scan to show everyone, but I need to have someone tell me how. Thanks Keith
  4. I saw the interest in GIC #80 so I listed one for sale on e-bay. I graded it at VG/F. Hopefully someone can fill a hole. It is a tough book to find in any grade that's for sure. Good luck.
  5. Hello all, this is Keith Marlow. I saw an earlier comment that there was some discussion about the GIC #87 that was recently purchased. My buyer ID on e-bay is in fact ariel6618 and seller ID is comicsarefun1503 so I wanted everyone to know that. As noted, I have been buying DC war books and many others using this ID for several years. I did want to let everyone know again that I sold my comic collection through Heritage mainly to replenish my savings as much of it was lost because I worked for Enron and that I have two kids in college. When I purchased the OAAW #105 and #107 I thought that I would start rebuilding it then, but decided to turn those over to Heritage at the last minute and really in hindsight I should tried to hang on to more of the DC war keys. Like many of you, I have lost my share of auctions on e-bay. When I bid on the GIC #87, the price had already been run up to $2,000 and every now and then you have to take a chance on certain books. It appears that the book will grade around 8.0, so maybe I will get lucky. My passion for collecting DC war is as strong as most of you, I just have not had time to particpate on the boards, but I will in the future. There was another comment that I am secretive which seems to have been out of left field. Anyway I will post some scans soon of recent additions and if anyone is going to the NYC Comic Con, I will be there as well and would enjoy meeting you.
  6. DC War Collectors I wanted to let you all know that Heritage will list in its upcoming auction next week an OAAW #85 and #88 from my collection. These were graded by CGC as 7.5, but during encapsulation the books were rejected because of overhang. As you all know, these two issues are very difficult to find in a decent grade. I have several hundred more DC war books being graded at CGC and with a little luck many will be the highest graded. Good luck! Keith Marlow
  7. To my fellow War collectors: Heritage will be posting hundreds of my DC war CGC graded comics over the next couple of months in the weekly auctions. Also, by now you have probably seen the DC war books in the signature auction that may be of interest to you. Good luck and I hope you are able to pick up the issues that you need. Sincerely, Keith Marlow
  8. Andy, the OAAW #33 is a tough book to find. I have seen very few. I said earlier that there would be 300 CGC DC war books still to go., but there will also be many lots similar to the one you have shown here that will also be for sale, so hopefully you all can fill some holes. Keith
  9. I had nearly all of the Big Five. It took me ten years to collect them. Good luck on future auctons. Keith Marlow.
  10. I am glad to see that the recent auctions of DC war books have created this much excitement. I never expected the GIC to do this well, but of course I am happy about it. The OAAW books will always do well. The SSWS do not seem to get the respect it deserves. The good news is that between now and the end of the year there will still be at least another 300 DC War to be auctioned. I think there is an OAAW #96 CGC 7.5 next week and more GIC to follow. There will not be much DC war until late August early September. The books will be listed when they return from CGC. Good luck. Keith Marlow
  11. Just a reminder, as you all probably have seen, there are three Heritage auctions going on concurrently with about 120 CGC graded DC war books available. Good luck!!
  12. Judging from the scans I have seen you guys post, I am sure there are better copies out there of many of the books I am selling. I just came back from the San Diego comic con (and believe me I went through every dealer's inventory) and there were probably no more than 50 low to mid grade DC war books in all issues below #100. I think they are socked away in collections that may not see the light of day for many years, but even then because of the scarcity the chances of any of us owning any of them may be slim. I say get em while you can even if they are mid grade. They may be the nicest copies you see for years. Keith
  13. Andy, the #11 will be up for auction in the next few weeks. I will let you know when it comes up.
  14. Andy, my favorite is the GIC #87. I like all of the OAAW.
  15. Yes, they are going well. As you know will not know until the last hour how well though. Thanks.
  16. Andy, OAAW #12 CGC 4.5 will be up for auction starting next Sunday. #11 is at CGC now. Keith
  17. I am interested in the war comics banquet. I have been to SD many times, but have not been able to attend. Please let me know the details. I appreciate it. Thanks. Keith Marlow.
  18. There will be more DC war books listed July 23rd by Heritage. One of you guys mentioned that you were looking for a OAAW #9. There will be a CGC 6.0 copy listed next Sunday. There will be about 40 DC war listed that Sunday. Many of the ones listed are the first on the census. Thanks. Keith Marlow.
  19. Shep, I bought very few off the rack. Mostly at comic book shops throughout the country as I traveled alot on business. I also bought many books off of E-Bay, through other auctions and at conventions. As you know it so hard to find DC war books, so you get em any way you can. Keith.
  20. Nice scans everyone. Just a quick note to let you know that there will be several of my DC war comics appearing in the Heritage Weekly Auction beginning Sunday night, July 8th. Over the next couple of months you can expect to see hundreds DC war comics in their auction. It is great to see that there are many very nice DC war comics in the collections of those of you on this thread. Thanks Keith Marlow
  21. It was only a few freebies, but the only thing better than a free comic is a free DC war comic.
  22. Good luck Andy. I enjoyed dealing with you. Keith
  23. Thanks Rick. Very few off of the stands. I had a few very nice books as a kid, but many of them have been purchased at conventions and on e-bay. I have also visited a significant number of comic shops throughout the US and found many of the books there as well. I will have some of the books in the upcoming weekly auction starting June 11th.
  24. This is my first time on the CGC chat boards. My name is Keith Marlow. I have just consigned to Heritage 1,000 CGC graded books--about 200 of which are DC War. They will also be auctioning hundreds of other DC war books that are not slabbed. These books will make you DC war collectors proud and I hope you get an opportunity to purchase. I know each of you know how hard it is to find VF or better graded DC war. You can view the books on the Heritage web site. The first weekly auction of my books will appear this Monday and continue weekly for many weeks. There will be more DC war comics auctioned in the weekly auctions than in the Signature Auction in August. I will also have nearly a hundred CGC high grade Silver Age Flash coming up and several hundred CGC high grade Four Colors. Many other keys as well. Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself.
