Hi, thanks for the replies. Unfortunately i did not take a picture before submitting. The only thing i can think of is that the cover is generally white and the ad on the inside of the front is/was slightly visible through the cover. This is something I've seen before on other light covers and i didnt think it would be marked down as its down to printing/manufacture and the artists colour selection. Does anyone know how to query with CGC?

Hi all, i received a disappointing grade for my Amazing spider-man 298. I didn't expect a 9.8 but it came back a 9.0 with a grader note of "ink lift to cover". Firstly, what does this mean, and should i query as i didn't see any ink problems. Just some stress at spine and cover was a bit yellow. I put it in for a clean and press so could the CCS process have caused this issue? Many thanks, Duncan

Thanks for the replies but the mask originally came free and unattached in the middle of the comic. No glue or serrated edge holding it. Its just a piece of paper-thin cardboard. Regards, Duncan

I have a UK Captain Britain #1 which I would like gradded and slabbed. When submitting, what should I do with the free gift, which is a mask in mint condition? Does it add to the comic's grading or is it not required? If it improves the grade, what happens to it when slabbed? Best regards, Duncan

Giant-size X-men #1 has an odd stapling arrangement. If I submit, do CCS remove the staples before pressing or do they have a method of pressing that leaves the staples in place? I suppose my question is can CCS safely press Giant-size X-men #1? Regards, Duncan

Hi CGC, Can you please confirm that if, after screening, its discovered that pressing would not benefit a comic, only the screening cost is due? Pressing would not go ahead and its cost would not be charged? Regards, Duncan

Can I ask what is included in a walkthrough? Does it include a review (screening) of the comic being graded and advice that it would or would not benefit its grade by being pressed and cleaned etc? Do you still have to tick screening on a walkthrough comic? If a comic is ticked for screening and it isn't deemed that it would benefit does the pressing fee get waved? i.e. you only pay for screening? Regards, Duncan

CGC, i was wondering if there is any difference in the FMV price of a British pence copy of Fantastic Four say and a U.S. Cents copy? I believe both were printed at the same time and on the same machinery. I have a number of pence priced (10d etc) comics I would like to submit. If there is a difference, how do I find out the FMV?
