8 Items, Standard grading, no subgrades:

    Mailed: 4/26/2021

"Received" (as in, they scanned in the box finally): 7/20/2021

    Service: TCG - STANDARD

    Status: Grading/Quality Control

wow thats weird because I have a 5 card standard submission with subgrades that was delivered 5/25/2021 and its also in Grading/Quality Control and I have already been charged for it

Yea my submission just went through! It's currently scheduled for grading now. I was just worried that it was sent to the wrong P.O. Box. I guess I was a little paranoid haha.

Marked the box with ST. How long does "Scheduled for grading" take usually?

took me just under 2 weeks before going to Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging with standard

I sent my cards in for Standard service and USPS tracking shows delivered as of 8/28/21.

CGC is now opening packages for the week of August 30th, I can't find anything in my submission status and when I search the order #. Nothing shows up. Should I be worried?

No, just wait and they will probably open it soon. Make sure it was sent to the right address and you labeled the box with ST.

    Hello,

I was feeling nostalgic recently with all the hype around Pokémon and decided to buy a Chilling Reigns Elite trainer box from eBay which was advertised as sealed and new. When I got the package and got to the packs themselves I became a little suspicious. I don't know a lot about being able to tell if a pack has been resealed but I noticed that all of them had glue residue on the top front of the packs which I recall being a sign of the pack being tampered with.

Another thing I noticed but didn't take a pick of was that a lot of the packs had their crimp already loose in the back. Looking at the cards themselves more than a few of them seem to have issues too with them have white edge markson the back or nicked corners which doesn't make sense for pack fresh cards unless the batch had a quality control issue which isn't unheard of.

I was also able to pull this trainer full art rainbow rare but think it's probably fake if the packs were resealed but don't know enough to test if a card is fake or not. All I could say is that it feels thin but don't have any recent guaranteed real cards to compare it to. It does have a texture on the front though.

    Thanks

everything looks perfectly fine to me. the chance for it being resealed is also extremely low if it comes out of an etb. Also, pack fresh cards having a lot of whitening is completely normal, it could have had a rough time shipping and the packs could have moved around inside the etb.

Hi guys, fairly new to getting cards graded and was just curious about something in my recent order.

I was just a little confused about the grade a pokemon card receives vs the subgrades. I was thinking the card is graded from adding the subgrades up and dividing the amount by the amount of subgrades there are which is 4. Is that the case with CGC or the subgrades don't influence the main grade the card receives?
I was just double checking the cards I got back a couple weeks ago and was confused.

For an example, one of my charizards subs are 9, 7.5, 8.5, 7.5 and the card graded 7.5

Appreciate it if anyone can just explain the process of it to me

    Thank you

if the lowest 2 sub grades are the same, that is the overall grade of the card
