  1. Very nice Kaluta cover on your Shadow 12. Here is 9.
  2. It would be too much work for my wife to do anything other than sell all of my stuff in one pop ---- although there are a couple dozen big ticket items I've set aside for her to sell individually. She'll only get a fraction of guide from a dealer this way, but it will be quick and easy.
  3. My wife has instructions on which dealers to call. Its a short list. If they knew they were on it, they'd probably take a contract out on me --- I'd be worth more to 'em dead than alive.
  4. Right on Shep! You've got the right attitude! Bill
  5. Its probably 9.6 but I'm going with 9.4 as usual. I love these boards.
  6. Thanks Shep! I purchased about 150 Oaklands directly from Vinny roughly between 1997 or 1998 to 2000. The prices seemed a little high almost a decade ago (I can't believe it's been THAT long) for the NMs and better, and that was pre-CGC too. If the same collection were to be introduced to the market now, prices realized would be quite scary to say the least. Although the Oakland Collection doesn't have the same prestige as other pedigrees, it is still an outstanding collection with a lot of tough, high grade DC's from traditionally tough genres (Horror, War, Romance, Westerns, Humor...). I love my Oaklands! Start posting 'em!! Fire up the scanner, let's go!!
  7. Pricing. Thats all. And lets see some more of your Oaklands in the War thread!!
  8. Double cover. I come across very few of these (I have posted it in "General", asking for some advice). Lil' help? So I'm no photographer, kill me.
  9. Kaluta begins in this one as does Spawn of Frankenstein. We all know what's going on here. This one reminds me of that Wrightson Swamp Thing cover (with Batman swinging in the background). Kaluta was probably peeking over his should in the Studio offices.
  10. Can I get some pricing guidance on this book?? The 2x covers are just so rare, its hard to figure out a fair price before I send 'em out into the market. Thanks boardies!! Phantom Stranger #29 (1974). Double cover: outer cover 9.0/9.2; inner cover 9.4/(9.6?). White pages.
  11. I own the Oakland Copy of OAAW # 245 (not for sale though): 2 nice copies of the same cool book in one thread.
  12. Sorry, can't accommodate ya --- ain't got one! But your's is b@d@ss!!
  13. My weakness is for any one of the 4 Studio artists. Here is Kaluta:
  14. What a beautiful 251. Here is mine, nice, but not as nice as Sheps. Wish I had the 252 as well. Here is 253. The Iron Major!! And a great crazy perspective cover. Man Kubert could work some magic.
  15. REH is the man Glen. Have you seen the movie "The Whole Wide World"? Go take a look at amazon and you'll probably buy it if you haven't seen it already. Your wife would like it as its pretty much a love story, albiet a tragic one (the best kind anyway, right?). I own a copy...eBay I think... I also read REH's girlfriend's biography of him entitled "One Who Walked Alone" which was the basis for the movie. When my wife was in the hospital bed going into labor with Master Jack, I had the book in my hands trying to read it without her getting too pi@@ed-off!!! I'm hardcore man. And yeah, I read the What if? too. Still might come down south next weekend....gotta contact Mike...
  16. Wow, never seen that & it has the most profound REH quote regarding barbarism. His thoughts on the subject aren't just pulp blather. Amazing!!
  17. How much for the "Conan #7: The Warrrior" Kimik?
  18. If you have 9.4 copies of Weird War #6, G.I. Combat #150 or Our Army at War #242, lemme know! Shep All of the GIC has gone into my eBay store. Hopefully I'll get to OAAW, SSWS, & WW before Christmas...looks like there are quite a few of all 3 of those titles.
  19. They are all examples from a new collection that I am going through. Thought you guys would like 'em. Thank you.
  20. I know. What is that goofy panache waiving around on his helmet and that chain (?) hovering around his waist? Frazetta was the first to give Conan his "true look", .....sullen-eyed....gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth....:
  21. Thanks! I need a nice 1st REH Weird Tales & a nice 1st Conan Weird Tales...
