  1. @onlyweaknesskryptonite WOAH!!!! what an epic find, congrats! please don't tell me (but I have to know) does the indicia on them have anything different from the other copies of those books?
  2. Okay fellow DCU collectors, I'm looking for help. I've bought a couple lots of DCUs trying to piece together a complete run and now I've gotten a bunch of duplicates. Does anyone do trading/swapping/selling with each other? I've got like 90 duplicates and a list of 100 books I need to complete my run. Pics of all the duplicates. Shoot me a message
  3. As promised, picks of the weekend's haul! Feeling SUPER excited After like 6 weeks of hitting comic shop after shop and coming up either completely empty handed or maybe finding one common DCU I was starting to get a little disheartened. Saturday I hit up a shop that just brought out a load of 90's books from storage. $2-$8 on each book. and the amazing find of the day close up!
  4. Batman #0 - Zero Hour logo UPC variant https://www.comics.org/issue/1675746/
  5. @onlyweaknesskryptonite ah that makes sense, DC just happened to use the same logo than you for explaining that!
  6. okay fellow DCU hunters I've finally made it through all 85 pages of the thread and I have a question about some of the other related UPC variants that get added in with the DCUs. So we all agree something like Batman Adventures #16 is a "Batman Logo" UPC variant similar DCU UPC variant but what about Batman Legends of the Dark Night #31 - 53? they all have the same Batman Logo UPC but online are listed as the Direct Editions - feel like I'm missing something? Also, totally had an amazing DCU find over the weekend I'll post pics of in the next day or so
  7. can anyone visually confirm Damage #0 has a zero hour logo variant? I know it has a DCU logo variant but I cannot find any examples of a zero hour logo variant and wondering if that needs moved into the WITHOUT zero hour logo variant section of the list
  8. Just saw another one online to add to the list Batman Adventures #15
  9. There I am over the weekend digging through glorious backstock and dollar bins hunting for precious DCUs and lo and behold I find 10 Zero Hour logo variants! They came home with me and now I must find the rest
  10. This weekend's finds. First pic - 3 books rescued from the 50 cent bin at Half Price Books. Stickers right on the book of course I got them off without adding any damage although the AoS #536 already had some spots in the upper right. 2nd pic - some individual issues and a pack. I think the crown jewel is that unsealed Flash Terminal Velocity set. The pack had been opened and then put into a larger bag and sealed. I wasn't 100% sure what would be in there so when I saw the Flash #95 and #96 in the backstock I grabbed them too just in case. Ah well a couple duplicates happen 3rd pic - exactly as advertised on the back of the cardboard 6 DCU Flash issues!
  11. @onlyweaknesskryptonite nice score! especially that Legionaries #16, I'd bet just from the style that's Adam Hughes. did some of those come in the Best of 1995 pack or you keeping that sealed? Tomorrow, I'll post up my finds from today too
  12. @onlyweaknesskryptonite AWESOME HAUL!!! congrats!! I didn't know the Robin pack had DCUs. So many details like that still trying to grasp them all so I know what to look out for.
  13. @onlyweaknesskryptonite thank you! so the rabbit hole gets even deeper than just cover and now have to check the indica too! I checked my copy and it's "Collectors Pack First Printing" so I'll have to keep an eye out for the "First Printing" one.
  14. My bad, what I meant was that it mentions there are 2 DCU logo versions. I'm having a hard time confirming what the 2nd DCU logo version looks like or if it exists?
  15. Question, does Detective Comics #674 actually have 2 versions? I was reading CBSI's article and it mentions Detective Comics "674 has two versions" but I've scoured the webs trying to find what the 2nd version looks like and I don't see any examples. Mine looks like this: Anyone know of a 2nd version by chance?
  16. @onlyweaknesskryptonite that makes sense about Bat Symbol, Zero Hour, DC Bullet, and Star Trek Logo so odd that the DCUs can be so expensive but the others aren't (ah the interesting wonders of us collectors). @Cpt Kirk thanks! very cool about some being harder to find, enjoying the hunt Went and hit a few more shops today and got some more finds!
  17. Hello all! Noob question, I'm just getting started with my DCU logo quest, super happy for my haul so far. I didn't know about the Batman logo and Zero Hour logo variants until just now finding this thread (so many books to find!). Are the Batman logo and Zero Hour logo books as expensive as some of the DCU logo books? Curious to think about tracking those down too but sort of nervous, if they are going to crazy expensive I might have to just stick to hunting DCU.
