Does CSG grade 1969 Topps tall boys basketball cards?

CSG grades standard-sized cards (2.5” x 3.5”) as well as cards sized up to large vintage Topps cards (2-5/8” x 3-3/4”). CSG is planning to add more holder sizes soon to accommodate even more card sizes. If your tall boy cards are larger than the dimensions mentioned, then hold on to them until we have the holders to accommodate these cards.

thank you for starting to do shows. I saw your announcement that you guys will be at the Philly card show, nice! However, the Dallas card show is the biggest show outside of the nationals, I hope someday we'll get to see you there. I have been to several dallas shows and have seen people lining up at Dallas Card Investor for grading. RCG has been there too and another company came last show. It would be nice to see you there. I have a lot of respect for CGC, CSG and group of companies. I really love your slabs.

Thank you for your compliment! If we do end up at Dallas, we will make an announcement.

My item was received last week how long before it is entered into your system

it keeps saying my order number not found

The time it takes for submissions to move through the systems depends on the volume of submissions in house and the tiers of those submissions. For example, items for WalkThrough have a quicker estimated turn time and will take priority over other tiers with longer estimated turn times. A large volume of submissions for the priority tiers like Walk Through and Express, will impact the turn time for tiers with longer estimated turn times.

Can you do quick submit or is that option gone now?

Thank you for your question. Yes, Quick Submit is no longer available. The Quick Submit option was available in the old version of the form to allow for a quicker method of card entry. The recent redesign of the online submission form makes the entry of cards much quicker and eliminates the need for the Quick Submit option.

CSG grading does look at the card’s primary front and back designs within the frame of the cardstock as intended by the original design. If you have any more questions about our grading criteria, check out the link. https://www.csgcards.com/card-grading/grading-scale/

Why does it cost $10 extra for sub grades?

Here me out. The grading professionals aren't doing anything extra - they obviously know what the sub grades are as they're grading the card itself. I'm willing to bet that the sub grades are stored in a database somewhere (because every company is data hungry these days, why wouldn't you keep that info). Especially when a customer gets a 10 or 9.5 back and wants to resubmit with sub grades - it'll be handy to have those in the system ready to go.

I know ink isn't free, but does it really cost $10 to print a few extra characters on the label? The cost doesn't seem to justify itself. I could see doing a few bucks extra, sure. With the price point being $10 it really just feels like a cash grab. ESPECIALLY when my first few bulk orders were $8 a card. How does it take $10 to print a few extra characters on a label when the cost to grade was originally only $8. Is there a way CSG can justify the high price tag for such a minor addition?

Thank you for your question. Grading subs requires a more detailed look into the centering—for primary front and back designs within the frame of the cardstock as intended by the original design, surface, edges and corners— for visual and structural integrity of the card. It takes more time to grade subs for those reasons and every card that receives subs has to be individually looked at.

Can you still submit a Bulk Submission 50 or more at a time or do you have to list every card now with the new submission form.  I tried and i could find it.

I have submitted multiple lots of cards to CGC and now CSG. The 2 sites appear to be programmed the same but I can only view my order breakdown on the CGC cards site.
Is this normal that I can't click my order numbers on CSG and see the list of cards in the system to be graded?  I seem to remember that the first couple days my orders were finally marked as arrived, the links were there.

Thank you for your question. Yes, it is normal. CSG has a different process so you will be able to view the details later than you would at CGC.

I walked through the submission form for a card that was just graded under the ReHolder option and was not offered the option to add sub-grades, only images. Is there another way to do this using the online form?

Submit your card in for grading and then add the subgrades.

What sleeves are the best fit for CSG cards? I don't see any listed for sale on eBay.

Thanks for any help in advance!

If you are looking sleeves to submit your cards, we have a CSG shipping kit that comes with sleeves made with top-quality material. Here is a link for the kit https://www.csgcards.com/news/article/8869/csg-shipping-kit/. Otherwise a sleeve that fits the cards would also work; however, they can be quite flimsy.

Nope, can not open they cards to see what is in each of these orders. I used to be able to click on a green link, and order would open up. That stopped 2 weeks ago when system was being updated.  Where the green arrows lead too, we want to see what is in each other those orders. We can't do that now. I tried putting in diffferent submissions numbers, would not open. I am sure it works for brand new orders, but we want to go back, and see what is being graded in these orders. We 100% could do that before the switch.

Since you are having a problem with the submission tracking, I will have someone look into it. But the article is talking about the submission forms for ordering, which is a completely different page.

No hyperlinks to open any of our previous orders??? We used to be able to at least see that. They were green, still looks exactly the same. What am I missing?

This is the submission tracking, which is different from the order submission form. The list of completed orders will appear when you look at your checkout cart.

For pack pulled autographs, one that the company officially states is authentic, can we submit them without getting the auto graded? In other words, if I have 50+ bulk autograph cards, can I submit them and pay the bulk rate without the additional auto fee and only get them graded?

Thank you for your question! Cards with autographs do require to be auto graded by CSG.

I just looked and I still couldn't access my orders that were entered awhile back. Still couldn't see what cards were in orders. Only things I could click on where the orders that had been shipped. When will we be able to look at orders already in the system and see what is in each order?

If you clear the cookies and cache, your orders should appear.
