  1. I was wondering if anyone would mention this. If this movie falls anywhere between Sixth Sense & The Ring, then I'll be one happy movie-watcher! Thanks for all the posts, Sterling, & please post some of your newly-graded books when you get 'em in! Can't wait to see 'em!
  2. SUH-WEEEEEEET! I love Ernie Chan's stuff! IMO, one of the really underrated 70's artists! He could draw it all!
  3. Beautiful books, there, Sterling! Wow. Thanks for sharing...
  4. Yeah...banner likes to dump my rejects eventually! Greggy - is your 9.6 the top in the census - seems like it is... I've ended up with about 6 of your former books now - just keep dumping them on me, people! They're sweet books and I'll be keeping them for a long time! Jayman - that DC Super Giant (Unexpected) is another fave of mine. I've had a few chances at that one recently, but they've slipped through my fingers. Hopefully I'll land a copy soon! Also - the Ghosts (#18) and Unexpected (#152) issues you posted are very, very nice!!!!
  5. It's not the best ASM 151, for sure, but I love it for 3 reasons: 1) It's a Pacific Coast! 2) It's been an annoyingly-tough book for me to find in high grade. 3) I got it for a great price!
  6. Jayman, Thanks for posting your DC Special #4 - that's one of my faves of all the DC Horror books! Here's one of my copies of #4 that I got from Doc Banner (Thanks Doc!) & I love it! The Super DC Giant #20 is another one I find to be cool, with the 'bookend' appearances by Cain. Took me awhile to find one in a condition I was happy with...
  7. Insert Homer Simpson voice: "MMmmmmmmm... Living Chocolate... drooooool!!!!"
  8. The WH #13 is one of my all-time fave Neal Adams covers...
  9. Wow. How much did that original Swampy story go for?!?!?!
  10. Anyone have a copy of Weird War #24 they can post? I love that cover - one of my all-time faves...
  11. Just wanted to share. I picked this one up about 12 years ago at the San Diego Comic Con. I had just purchased it for $5, when I left the dealer, turned the corner and almost literally ran into Wrightson. He was having a conversation about the scariest thing he'd ever dealt with: His teenage son. I waited for a moment & then asked if he'd sign it - he was a gentleman & did!
  12. Motor City had 35 cent variants. A lot of them. And BOY were they expensive. They had a Scooby-Doo 1 8.5 and a bunch of others. What was the price on the Scooby, if you remember...?
  13. beautiful books, pov. beautiful! Thanks for sharing. And thanks to EVERYONE for posting on this thread - it's my fave on the boards right now! D A M N you all to h e l l for pulling me back into the horror game! I thought this particular poison had run its course several years ago, but it's back with a VENGANCE!!!!!!!!
  14. POV - that cover is killing me! Man, if only we had 'from-beyond-the-grave' hockey dudes in the winter olypmic skating events! Wonder how they'd judge those...?
  15. Uh. Oh. I think Rob just wet himself. How much are you going to nail him for on this one, Mr. Donut!?
  16. Paging Rob_react: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33812&item=2250319512&rd=1 "If this sells at this price I'll have a copy down in Florida so fast it'll make your head spin." Rob. Start packaging up your variants. This book sold.
  17. Damn! I had never really considered Conan #1 as beginning of the Bronze Age, but now, thanks to Theagenes, I feel very compelled to break off the Silver Age right there! And the idea of a split for Marvel and DC feels much more comfortable than choosing just one book to represent everything, as a freakin' lot was going on! Damn! Now I have to go out and pick up Conan #1 again! Thanks for the great pair o' posts, Theagens!!
