  1. More proof that the boards have little to do with collectors anymore.
  2. I believe every defect that keeps a book from a 9.8 should be noted.
  3. I don't recall in the books, but there was a weakening/failure in Jessie using Genesis on the receptionist outside Starr's office.
  4. It was actually leaked that there was a scene filmed (but cut, obviously) where Sansa goes to talk to Bran before the Baylish trial. If it was cut to preserve the argument that Sansa and Arya were playing him all along, or if it was cut for other reasons isn't clear.
  5. Step 1. Take the bag off and then scan it. Then you'll see what the real scan looks like.
  6. John and John were great. Just missed you, you old coot.
  7. "goes to London and deprives us of happy Bob"?
  8. @blazingbob and @Dale Roberts: Great takes. WWC is still the best comic show I go to every year. Everyone's needs are different. I heard SS and sketch guys complaining about the lineup of artists and guests. I heard that attendance of non-collectors was down because of a less than stellar entertainment guestlist. But it seemed almost every dealer was having a good or better sales show for comics. I thought the comic selection was just fine. Do we all wish that small to midsize dealers, that we've never seen before, were setup there? Sure. I bought less than 4 figures of books, but that's just where my interests are at the moment and I was lazier than other years trying to find books during the first two days. But if I were looking to spend more, there was an amazing selection of GA and SA and BA books in the room. Truly. OA was lacking. Maybe they were all in London? Who knows? But WWC is still a great comic buying and selling show. And meeting up with friends from around the world at a venue that is way more comic focused, and cheaper, than my perception of SDCC, is still a win. @seanfingh is a terrible prop better. @chromium rocks Ani Difranco t-shirts like nobody's business.
  9. Could you post those Rom again? I didn't catch all of them.
  10. Question whether they were using public wifi for their connection.
  11. "Get on the horse, Uncle Benjen." "There's not time!" What? It took longer for Jon Snow to get on the horse.
  12. Many issues with this episode, although it was a very fun one. Gendry can run a super long distance in a not long time Ravens can get from the North to South very quickly Dragons can get from the South to the North very quickly Dragons destroy lots of the walkers for a long time, but get nowhere near the Night King The Night King waits a very long time before deciding to do something about one of the three dragons destroying lots of walkers, who could randomly turn and blast him at any time Arya and Sansa seem very easily manipulated, even though both of them vehemently distrust the only person in a position to do so Uncle Benjen is the penultimate McGuffin. Really? He just shows up out of the blue? No one thought, after the Night King threw a spear and missed one dragon, to possibly have the other dragon blast the Night King and his generals standing all alone on the hill? Still a romping good time with the good battle scenes. But man are they trying to cram in a lot in a short time and leaving some gaping plot holes in their wake.
  13. Yeah. Show of hands for those who've already watched the episode, but they did so because they happened to legitimately stream from HBO Nordic or HBO Espana during the 1 hour window when it was erroneously available. No? No takers? I'll wait a second. No? Still none? I guess everyone else watched a pirated copy then.
  14. I'm going to avoid it altogether. It's just rude that people who can't figure out spoilers are posting spoilers and other people are reacting in ways that make spoilers pretty obvious. It's not even a spoiler because someone hasn't yet watched an ep that aired. You're all watching a pirated episode (morally questionable to begin with) and then choosing to post spoilers ahead of the legitimate airing and others posting stupid pseudo-spoilers ahead of the scheduled airing time.
