Writer DON GLUT and Artist JESSE SANTOS, the team behind such 1970's Gold Key Comic Books as THE OCCULT FILES OF DOCTOR SPEKTOR, DAGAR THE INVINCIBLE, TRAGG AND THE SKY GODS, and BROTHERS OF THE SPEAR make their first appearance together at the LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION on SUNDAY, AUGUST 19, 2007.

DON GLUT created THE OCCULT FILES OF DOCTOR SPEKTOR, DAGAR THE INVINCIBLE, and TRAGG AND THE SKY GODS and wrote all the stories. JESSE SANTOS handled the art. Though overshadowed by Marvel and DC Comics superheroes, DOCTOR SPEKTOR and DAGAR THE INVINCIBLE still managed to attain a level of popularity among readers and these titles were among Gold Key's best sellers during the 1970's. DON also wrote for Marvel Comics and Warren Publishing, and the original STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK novel adaptation of the movie in 1980. DON also helped create the character background for HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, writing the stories for the four mini Comic Books that came with the toy line. In addition, DON wrote episodes of the original TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO animated series. DON is currently writing and directing his own live action films such as DINOSAUR VALLEY GIRLS and THE MUMMY'S KISS.

DON will sign autographs along with JESSE SANTOS from 11:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M. JESSE will bring along a portfolio of examples of his work for fans to look through. JESSE eventually went to work in animation, designing and storyboarding THE LEGEND OF PRINCE VALIANT, which was recently released on DVD. Also featured will be the SUPERHERO FAN FILM FESTIVAL, featuring six hours of short films made by fans on Superheroes such as Captain America and Spider-Man, featuring new films and returning favorites. DON GLUT made some of the earliest Superhero fan films during the 1960's and several of these shorts will be screened.

The Dealers Room will be full of Old and New Comic Books, Toys, Action Figures, DVD's, Hot Wheels, Trading Cards, and much more. The Convention is located at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center, 700 West 32nd Street, Los Angeles, California. 2007 is the 30th Anniversary of the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention, with over 350 shows having been held.
