Wow. Now that's what I'm talking about. Like me, his love for the artwork has extended beyond comics into where the real action was: magazine & book illustration.

 

Isn't that what all comic artists aspired too? Working for the "slicks"?

 

(That and creating or, at least, working on a hit daily strip that would keep them employed and, perhaps, lead to a merchandising jackpot.)

 

But you had to have "real" talent.
