PGM: There is a distributor overspray on the top in the middle of the book. How much does that knock down the book?

Distributor spray would have no effect in this grade, IMO.

 

Looks like an 8.5 due primarily to the crease in the URC.

I think 8.5 is high and 6.5 is low. Both Upper corners are soft and the CBC in the right makes me think 7.5 on a bad day, 8.0 on a good. Nice book!

I have seen 9.6's with overspray. In fact I think Grails has one for trade that shows a similar discoloration on the top edge. The book has just enough defects (IMHO) to keep it in the 8.0 range. Still a nice book to have in high grade.

I will go well above the others again......Overspray shouldn't affect it at all ...It's a 9.0 +...guaranteed....

The significant damage to the top front cover which more than breaks color, then the right corner crease breaking color, and the other stress lines, as well as the damage to the back cover, for example, the issues with the top back cover breaking color, and the significant wear overall, I just couldn't go higher than 6.5. 8.5 seems generous.
