I just got this from Mike Carlin, and thought it was really intersting:

(It's not research or researcher, because it's got an extra "ch")

 

Any guesses?

My guess is that when you purposefully spell things incorrectly, it makes it even easier to make a typo. Researcher -- the extra 'ch' should have been an 'er'.

Is that...

"There really are a lot of stops on this street."?

or

"There really are a lot of spots on this street."?

I read it as stops (as in stop signs) because that's the more logical choice when speaking of a street. Had you said 'dog', I would've read spots (dalmation). That's the way brains work!
